Chapter Twenty–Three
Rose
I jump and squeal, flinging myself around. Jayce is sitting at my kitchen table. He is resting back. against a seat with a smug look on his face.
“What the hell are you doing here? How did you get in?”
“Remi let me in. Come here. His voice is stern as he motions me with his finger. I take a couple of deep breaths and walk over to him as slowly as possible. I am nervous because of my little show earlier. I stop a little away from him so he can’t reach me.
“Closer, Rose.”
I do what I’m told. I take a few more steps until I am in front of him. He operis his legs and pulls me between them.
“Hi,” I say timidly.
“Hmm, not so brave now, are you, kitten?” He smirks,
I look down as heat rises on my cheeks and neck. Jayce grasps my hips and pulls me swiftly into his lap. I whimper and instantly wrap my arms around his neck, I refuse to make eye contact with him.
Jayce places his finger on my chin, tilting my head back, which forces me to look him in the eyes. “Lost for words, Rose? Where has the sass gone?”
He is enjoying this way too much. “Sorry, Sir,” I whisper.
“Oh, angel, you are lucky we still have a lot to discuss, because if we didn’t, I would bend you over this kitchen table and spank your ass until my handprint is left on your skin,” he growls.
I fidget on his lap, moaning. Why does the idea of him spanking me seem so appealing? I won’t deny
it, I really enjoyed it last night.
Jayce grips my face, arousing me further, and claims my lips with his. Even his kiss is dominant. He pushes his tongue into my mouth, I groan, the kiss a little different. He has only ever entered his tongue into my mouth once before. He nudges mine, and I get the hint. I dance my tongue with his, and the kiss quickly becomes heated. A decorate urge floods me, an urge I’ve never felt until I met
Jayce.
I grind against him in a pathetic attempt for some friction. He is quick to hold my hips tightly to stop me from moving. I groan in frustration against his lips. And what does he do? He smirks. I huff and pull away from his lips.

Chapter Twenty–Three
“Such a needy little kitten, aren’t you?” He chuckles,
“No! I’m not!”
Jayce laughs loudly. “Yes, you are. Why else would you be grinding against me?”
The devious look on his face pisses me off. I swiftly remove myself from his lap.
“I’m not needy! You’re such a tease.”
He gives me the same look as on our video call, silent and firm. I shudder under his gaze. “Sit down and cat.”
1 shake my head and start to walk away.
“Rose, where are you going? Don’t make me chase you because I promise you will regret it,” he calls after me.
I giggle to myself, making sure he doesn’t hear me.
“I need to change my panties since they’re wet now,”
The words come out of my mouth before I can stop them. I hear him growl loudly behind me and mentally give myself a pat on the back. I rush to my bedroom before he comes after me. I do need to change my underwear, it wasn’t a lie–damn stupid, sexy, God of a man.
It doesn’t take long, and I cautiously stroll back through. Jayce hasn’t moved.
“Now, sit your ass down and eat before you need to go to work,” he demands.
“Yes, Sir.”
I do what I’m told this time and sit. There’s a plate and cutlery set out. I don’t know what he brought me because the food is in containers–there are three of them. What does he think I am? Though, I do notice a smoothie. Jayce nods towards the containers.
“What is it?”
“Chocolate protein pancakes with syrup and banana. The smoothie is coconut and pineapple. The other two are for your lunch. One has a chicken salad, and the other has fruit and Greek yoghurt.”
He bought me lunch too?
“Lunch? You bought me lunch and breakfast?”
“Bought? No. I made it.” He smiles.
Chapter Twenty–Three
I am a little taken aback because I didn’t expect it.
“Y–y–you made me all of this?”
“Yes. Someone needs to make sure you are eating properly, angel. Now, eat,” he insists.
I smile brightly at him. “Thank you. It was very sweet of you.”
I tuck straight in, and it is incredible! The man has skills! I groan at the first bite.
“And if we have time after you eat every bit of your breakfast, I will sort your itch out.”
“My itch? You make it sound like 1 have an STI or something.”
-Jayce snickers and shakes his head. “You know what I mean, pretty eyes. I will fix the throbbing between your thighs. That strong urge you have for me to touch you.”
1 wiggle my brows at him. “I thought nothing else could happen until after dinner tonight?”
Jayce winks at me. “I can make an exception.”
I nod and concentrate on my breakfast. I really hope we have time because it would be a great way to start my day.
