‘How could Sienna do this? How could she just toss me into a marriage for her own gain? Treating her own father like some bargaining chip?‘ he taged inwardly.
Aiden’s chest was heaving, his eyes red with fury. “No way. I’m not marrying you, so just give up on that idea.”
Demi’s face fell, her eyes full of hurt and confusion. “Why, Mr. Hart? Is it because I’m not pretty enough for you?”
She knew she was a catch–guys were always falling for her, and she’d never doubted her own beauty.
She was gorgeous, no doubt about that. But Aiden just wasn’t into foreign girls–he liked local women, plain and simple.
“Sorry, that’s not it. You’re beautiful, but we’re just not a good match,” he said.
With that, Aiden turned to leave, but Demi just smirked, propping her head up with one hand and turning slightly to face him, her eyes following his every move.
“Mr. Hart, I’ve looked into you. Life in the Hart family isn’t exactly great for you–you don’t even get pocket money every month. But if you stick with me, whatever you want, I’ll make it happen,” she said, her voice smooth and tempting.
Aiden didn’t even flinch–he just headed out without so much as a backward glance.
Demi kept going, her tone full of temptation. “I heard you love collecting watches–well, my family’s in the watch business. And you’re into racing, right? But you’ve missed out on so many events just because of money. Lucky for you, I actually own a racing club. If you want, I could just give you the whole thing.”
Aiden’s steps slowed. ‘Damn, is she really this rich?‘ he wondered, a bit stunned.
“Once we’re married, I’ll put ten million a month straight into your account for living expenses. And that’s just the baseline.
“I’ll give you a supplementary black card too–my own. Maybe you don’t know, but most of my business is in oil, so trust me, money is never a problem
for me.
“Mr. Hart, you have three days to think it over. Let’s meet at the same place, three days from now,” she said, her tone cool and full of confidence.
Aiden had just opened the door, but when he heard her words, he stopped in his tracks.
Demi pouted a little, her tone soft and a bit playful. “Mr. Hart, I’m still young, and my husband’s already gone. I can’t just spend the rest of my life alone,
can I? Don’t you think so? I’ll be waiting to hear from you.”
Aiden strode out, slamming the door behind him, his eyes dark and unreadable.
– Honestly, Demi’s words were really hard to resist. At the end of the day, he was just a man on his own—no one waiting for him, no one to care. For a
moment, Aiden couldn’t help but waver.
At the Lecter family place, Sean stared at the photo on the surveillance screen–it was Winifred. ‘I can’t believe she saved me again, he thought, surprise flashing in his eyes.
“Mom, Dad, I know her,” Sean said, cutting off Diane’s endless chatter.
Diane’s eyes went wide with excitement as she grabbed his arm. “You know her? Who is she, son? The priest said you were fated to face a disaster, and the one who saved you is the person you’re destined to be with!”
Sean frowned. “Mom, forget about that priest–it’s all just nonsense. You really shouldn’t take those people so seriously.”
“Alright, alright, whatever you say. Now, tell me about that girl,” she pressed, clearly eager for the details.

“Her name is Winifred Hart. She’s Sienna Hart’s younger sister,” Sean said.
“What? She’s actually a daughter of the Hart family? No wonder she didn’t look ordinary at all. She’s got this aura you just can’t overlook, she must be such a kindhearted girl,” Diane said, her eyes full of admiration.
Sean just stayed quiet, thinking, ‘If you knew the truth, you’d be terrified. She could snap a six–foot–tall guy’s neck with her bare hands.
“Sean, do you like her? Want me to do a little digging and find out more for you?” Diane said with a big grin.
Just thinking about that icy, killer look in Winifred’s eyes made Sean instinctively shrink back. ‘No doubt she’s gorgeous, but damn, she’s dangerous, he thought.
‘With her around, any little scheme I come up with would get shot down in a heartbeat,‘ he told himself, swallowing hard.
He shook his head. “Mom, someone like me could never be good enough for her.”
“Well, sure, but you’ve got a pretty handsome face. I think you’ve got a shot. Plus, isn’t your cousin Julian dating her sister? That’s your chance right there,” Diane said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
