Helen POV

Leaning into him, I said, “Come with me. We can be alone. You heard them. They’ll come to us if they have any questions.”
“Fine. I will answer your questions if you have them,” Justin stated, twisting his hand to thread his fingers through mine.
We made our way into the estate holding hands; I wondered if we were walking out of one arena only to enter another battleground of a more dangerous kind.
Justin POV
Helen smelled of arousal with a hint of fear. I wanted to chase away all her fear in favor of more arousal. Nothing soothed my beast the way her body did; I wanted to lose myself in her after the fight in the forest.
