“How did he communicate with you he was hurt or sad?”
“Anger. He threw things. He slapped, a lot. I’ve been head butted and smacked in the face. When he’s really overwhelmed, even now I keep his hands away from my face. The fact he cried tells me he is comfortable enough with you to express his real feelings. He wanted to be with you and Avalanche. It’s incredibly special.”

“My parents and sister?”
“What?” she deflated in his lap
“Don’t be so excited to meet my family, Alcee.” He appeared slightly offended by her reluctance.
“I’m sorry.” she whispered.
“You don’t like change any more than Antero does,” he kissed her nose laughing. “Corrado made a play for my parents this morning. I want them close where I can protect them. He waited until I was out of the country and then went right for them. I suspected this may happen and so I arranged for my best men to cover them. They were put on a flight to come to me here so I can keep them safe. I haven’t told my mother yet about you and Antero. I mean, she knows about you as my Aya who I’ve been desperately searching for the last several years, but I didn’t tell her, yet I found you or about our son.”
“Why not?”
“Honestly? There is so much else going on right now, with your security and making sure you guys are safe and simply enjoying being with you both, it never even dawned on me to call her and tell her.”
“Are you not close!”
“We’re very close but this is a whole new experience for me.” He cupped her check softly. “I am excited to find you and Antero, and it is the best thing to ever happen to me, and I’ve been living so much in the moment of enjoying you both it hasn’t dawned on me to share my happiness with anyone. I’m simply wanting to live in the moment.”
“Will they stay with us?”
“I hope you will be open to it. Our condo has six bedrooms, and we will be at work most of the day.”
“When do they arrive?”

“So, they will be in the condo tonight?”
