Despacial Call Kneels
Chapter 58 Cadell Kneels before Me
I wasn’t worried that he would refuse. I knew Cadell well–when it came to profit and money, he was willing to
do anything.
Sure enough, the next second, I heard him say, “If doing this will calm you down, I’m willing to.”
His words sounded nice, but in reality, he had only realized the value of my status as the heir to a wealthy family, and thus had no choice but to bow down to me.
How could it sound like he was pampering me?
It was a bit laughable.
I relaxed slightly and asked, “When do you plan to kneel before me?”
Cadell seemed to grind his teeth on the other end of the line, and I heard him grit out, “How about today?
Aurora, I really miss you.”
I couldn’t help but smile slightly at his words. They did move me.
I did want to see him as soon as possible, and that way, my goal could be achieved sooner.
So, I coldly said, “Cadell, this is your last chance. I hope you don’t disappoint me.”
Seeing my attitude soften a bit, Cadell nodded repeatedly. “Don’t worry. I’ll cherish this opportunity. I won’t
disappoint you.”
I didn’t respond, simply giving him the place to meet, and Cadell answered, “I’ll come find you now.”
With that, I hung up the phone.
A touch of sarcasm appeared in my eyes.
I casually put on a coat and walked out the door.
I certainly wouldn’t let Cadell have things his way easily. After all, the initiative in this matter was in my hands. I had to make him suffer a bit to feel satisfied.
So, I chose a very popular restaurant nearby for our meeting. This place was frequented by influencers and streamers, and if Cadell and I met here, we would easily be recognized.
After all, his online popularity was quite high recently.
However, that popularity… was mostly negative.
To show his sincerity, Cadell even arrived earlier than me.
As soon as I entered, I saw him sitting in a chair, his face dark and full of dissatisfaction.
Of course, he would be unhappy. I foughly estimated that there were about thirty or forty people in the
restaurant.
How could Cadell endure kneeling in front of so many people? His pride simply wouldn’t allow it.
Sure enough, as soon as he saw me, Cadell spoke first. “Aurora, how about we change the location? I don’t
really like this restaurant.”

I gave him a slightly mocking smile. If he had just told me he couldn’t endure this humiliation, I might have had a little sympathy for him. But he made excuses, and why would I accommodate him?
I coldly said, “It seems you’re still not being sincere enough. Don’t you know that I love this type of cuisine? Cadell, you have to understand, you’re the one apologizing to me. You should try to please me.”
As soon as I spoke, Cadell’s expression froze. He clenched his teeth, and I could even see the veins bulging on his forehead.
I’smiled and said, “If you can’t do it, I won’t force you. But if that’s the case, don’t ever bring up apologizing again.
My words cut off his last hope, and Cadell took a deep breath before standing up. “Do you really want me to kneel in front of so many people? Aurora, don’t you have any compassion for me given our past?”
“Do as you wish,” I said, looking up at him indifferently. “If you don’t want to, you can leave now.”
Cadell was pushed to the edge, but his company’s revenue had been declining rapidly. It was even worse than five years ago!
How could he maintain his arrogance?
He looked at me, gritted his teeth, and finally knelt in front of me, saying in a strained tone, “Aurora, I admit it, I’ve wronged you. I know I disappointed you. Please forgive me, I promise I won’t do this again.”
This action of his attracted the attention of people around us.
As expected, my guess was correct. Many people recognized Cadell’s face. Seeing him kneeling and apologizing in front of me, they were thrilled.
I saw a few people take out their phones to film Cadell. If nothing went wrong, I would see the video of him kneeling and apologizing trending tomorrow.
I didn’t immediately tell him to get up. As I watched Cadell’s expression turn uglier and uglier, he angrily said to me, “Aurora, considering we loved each other for so many years, can’t you stop being so ruthless?”
I let out a light laugh, and my tone softened. “Of course. I just wanted to test your sincerity. Now that I know
your true feelings, you can stand up.”
Cadell let out a sigh of relief, his face visibly softening.
He was about to say something when I handed him a stack of documents.
Cadell froze for a moment, looking at me in confusion.
I pushed the documents toward him and said, “But… you know, I’m always cautious, so I can’t fully trust just
your verbal guarantee.”
It seemed like he didn’t expect things to turn out this way. He furrowed his brows, looking at me, “What else
do you want?”
“Take a look,” I smiled and said.
It was the contract I had prepared in advance, stating that Cadell would voluntarily sever all ties with Lorna
and would no longer have any private dealings with her.
If Cadell broke his promise, he would have to compensate me with one hundred million dollars and 5% of his
company’s shares.

The terms of the contract were quite harsh, and when Cadell saw what was in it, his face turned pale.
He glared at me with anger, as if wanting to blurt out some insults, but after seeing his situation, he
swallowed the words back.
He took a deep breath and finally said in a low voice, “Aurora, Isn’t this a bit too much?”
