Chapter 66 Won’t Live for a Year
Eudora cautiously glanced at me, then continued, “I’m sorry, Miss Wenmir, I don’t know who 0687 was sold to… Every person who comes to purchase a ‘Flower‘ wears a mask, and I don’t know their identities.”
I took a deep breath and looked at her gently. “It’s okay, just tell me what you know.”
I knew that Sylvia had been sold to Philip–he had a photo of her.
Eudora seemed to have gained some confidence from my reassuring tone. She whispered, “Miss Wenmir, if 0687 is your sister as you say… then you must hurry and save her.”
I clenched my fists. Eudora continued, “0687 was the most disobedient of the A–zone test subjects. They
often beat her, and the dosage of the drugs she was given was more than double mine. Because she kept struggling, she would always end up getting hurt.”
“Before she was taken, 0687’s body was already very weak.”
Upon hearing this, I could no longer control my emotions. How much pain had my frail and pitiful Sylvia
endured during this time?
And I, as her helpless sister, had only just learned about what she had gone through after all these years!
Suddenly, a wave of intense guilt washed over me. If I had tried harder, if I had made my business empire grow faster, could I have found Sylvia sooner? Would she have suffered less?
But deep down, I knew it was unrealistic.
I had no support from anyone, and getting to where I was today was nothing short of fate’s favor.
I bit down on my lip, the sharp pain barely enough to keep my mind clear.
Eudora seemed startled by my expression, her face turning pale.
I fought to control my emotions, forcing a difficult smile. “It’s okay, please continue.”
Cyril seemed to sense that something was wrong with me. Without saying anything, he moved to my side and silently held me in his arms.
Then, I felt a warm hand gently placed on my lips, slowly prying open my teeth to rescue my bloodied, bruised
lips.
I froze for a moment, and when I came to my senses, Cyril had already placed his hand in my mouth. “If it
hurts, just bite me,” he said softly.
I didn’t respond. Instead, I continued listening to Eudora.
“Miss Wenmir, that man in the mask is notorious. We all know he enjoys torturing women. None of the
‘Flowers‘ he took survived more than a year. With 0687’s personality, if she ends up in his hands, she
definitely won’t be treated kindly.”
She didn’t elaborate further, but I already understood.
I couldn’t bear to think of the worst outcome, I could only hope that my sister would be blessed by the
heavens and survive!
The pain inside me was overwhelming, and I unconsciously bit down on Cyril’s hand. He didn’t make a sound,

and it wasn’t until the taste of blood filled my mouth that I came back to myself.
I pulled his hand away and apologized to him through gritted teeth.
Cyril looked at me, gently comforting me, “Aurora, don’t worry, I’ll help you. I’ll definitely help you.”
I couldn’t focus on his words anymore, all I could taste was the strong, metallic flavor of blood in my throat.
I looked at Eudora desperately, asking her word by word, “How can I get to the place you mentioned?”
Eudora stared at me in disbelief. After all, no one had ever voluntarily asked to go there. The women who had been taken were all trying desperately to escape.
Cyril seemed to catch on to my intentions, his brows furrowing suddenly. “Aurora, what are you planning to
do?!”
I couldn’t hide my thoughts from him; Cyril was too smart. Even if I didn’t say anything, he would easily guess
what I was thinking.
I locked eyes with him and gritted my teeth. “I’m going in.”
Cyril took a deep breath, speaking softly, “Aurora, calm down. Your sister has already been taken. Even if you
go in, you might not find her. It would expose you instead. Can you wait for a bit? I’ll try my best to help you.”
“I can’t wait any longer.” Sylvia was my obsession, her fate being my nightmare since childhood. Now that I’d
heard Eudora’s words, how could I bear to wait?
“I have to go,” I repeated stubbornly. “Only by going can I understand how things work there and know where
Sylvia was taken. Cyril, if I don’t find her, my life will be meaningless.”
My resolve was firm, and Cyril closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them again, his expression
had changed.
He spoke, “Aurora, I respect your decision, but we need to plan this carefully. Even if you want to go, there’s no need to rush, right?”
I nodded. He was right, I needed to be well–prepared before taking any action.
I had waited for so many years, I couldn’t afford for this plan to fail.
At least, I wouldn’t take unnecessary risks and put myself in a dangerous situation.
The entire Prosperity Group would be my backup, and I would make full use of these people.
Seeing me finally calm down, Cyril let out a sigh of relief. He turned to Eudora and said, “You can leave now. I’ll find you when I need you. Don’t worry, I won’t forget my promise to help you find your parents, and I’ll do it as soon as possible.”
Eudora nodded repeatedly and carefully stepped out.
After she left, Cyril immediately pulled me into his arms. My ear pressed against his chest, and I could hear his strong heartbeat.
An inexplicable sense of safety surrounded me, bringing a rare moment of calm.
Then, I noticed that something had been slipped into my hand.
I froze for a moment and instinctively looked down.
It was a small, compact handgun, the latest model.
I recognized it immediately–it was a new pistol developed by Knightfall Group. Small, portable, and extremely powerful!
This weapon could only be possessed by the person in charge of Knightfall Group. How could it be here?
What exactly was Cyril’s identity? How did he come into possession of this thing?
