Chapter 96 Ridiculing Cad
Chapter 96 Ridiculing Cadell
After Cadell finished his rant, he shoved me roughly into the cage and slammed the door with a sharp clang
I simply stared at him, my expression completely expressionless, giving him no reaction whatsoever.
Oddly, the more indifferent I appeared, the angrier he became.
He pulled out a roll of tape and taped my mouth securely, ensuring I couldn’t make any loud noises.
Then, with a furious thud, he slammed the cabinet door shut and snarled, teeth clenched, “Aurora, let’s see how long your stubbornness lasts!”
With that, he stomped away.
In the darkness, I raised an eyebrow, totally unbothered.
Cadell’s attempted punishment was based on the assumption that I was under the influence of some d**g, consumed by uncontrollable desire.
But I was perfectly fine. His plan was nothing more than a minor inconvenience at best.
Just as I expected, an hour later, I heard the door creak open.
Then came Lorna’s sweet, flirtatious tone, “Cadell, why are you in such a hurry? Did you miss me?”
I almost choked at her words. If Lorna knew that Cadell’s interest in her was solely to punish me, would she still be so gleeful?
Cadell didn’t respond. Instead, the next sound I heard was the ripping sound of fabric, followed by Lorna’s
sharp gasp.
She kept murmuring, “Be gentle, Cadell, please. I’m carrying your child…”
Her words were quickly cut off, and from the sounds, it seemed they’d already begun.
I’d seen their videos before, and I knew Cadell’s.. capabilities. Honestly, they were unimpressive.
Nothing worth fantasizing about.
Lorna’s moans were so obviously fake, not a hint of genuine pleasure–just a phony act.
Listening to their over–the–top antics felt like an assault on my ears.
Even when I covered them, the sounds still filtered through.
I started counting silently in my head. By the time I reached 182, I heard Lorna’s confused whisper, “Cadell, what’s wrong?”
Her voice had suddenly turned seductive, as if she’d only just started getting into it.
The next moment, Cadell’s clenched words came through, “Lorna… I’m not in the best shape today…”
I couldn’t hold back. A burst of laughter escaped me.
Just three minutes, and it was over!
He’s not even a fraction of what Cyril is!
My laughter burst out, loud and unrestrained, easily carrying into the bedroom.

Chapter 96 Ridiculing Dad
Lorna’s sharp scream pierced the air, followed by her panicked voice, “Who’s there? Who’s there?!”
Cadell’s teeth ground together, his anger palpable, clearly furning over my reaction.
“It’s nothing, Lorna. You’re imagining things.”
“Really?” Lorna shot back, her brow furrowed in suspicion. “I swear I heard Aurora. Did you hide her, Cadell?”
Lorna was clearly paranoid about Cadell and me reigniting our past, her voice thick with suspicion.
I got her anxiety. With Edmund out of the picture, her only shot at marrying into money was to latch onto Cadell for dear life.
But thanks to that whole business secrets fiasco, things were still frosty between them.
Lorna was terrified that Cadell and I might reconcile, leaving her high and dry.
The second she heard me, she was on edge!
Cadell, already fuming from my mockery, snapped at Lorna’s persistent questioning. “I said it’s nothing! How many times do I have to tell you?”
His sharp tone left Lorna stunned, but she quickly fired back, “I know I heard her. You’re hiding her–do you
still want her?”
Lorna had always been all about herself. Cadell’s constant pampering over their five years together only fueled her entitlement.
Unless she messed up big time, she could get away with being this pushy with Cadell.
The sound of rapid footsteps echoed–probably Lorna’s.
Sure enough, the next thing I heard was the noise of someone frantically searching.
Cadell, clearly desperate, tried to stop her. “Lorna, calm down. Aurora’s not here! You’re imagining things!”
“Then why are you so jumpy?” Lorna’s voice was practically in my ear.
I arched a brow. Playing nice wasn’t my style. Cadell had crossed the line; I had no problem making his life a
bit more complicated.
Though my mouth was taped shut, leaving me unable to speak, I could still make some noise. I tapped the cage with my hand, the sharp clang of the chains instantly catching Lorna’s attention.
Cadell seemed to panic and blurted out, “Lorna, don’t you want that luxury handbag you’ve been eyeing? Let’s
go get it, shall we?”
But the harder he tried to distract her, the more suspicious Lorna grew. She brushed Cadell aside and yanked
the cabinet door open. I squinted, blinking as my eyes adjusted to the sudden rush of light.
The moment Lorna saw me, her face contorted in sheer shock. After a moment’s pause, she turned to Cadell,
her voice sharp as she demanded, “You said you didn’t hide her! What’s this about?”
Having been Cadell’s mistress for five years, she had a sixth sense for this kind of thing. She narrowed her eyes and accused, “Are you trying to mess around with Aurora? After everything she’s done, you’re still hung up on her?”
I smirked faintly, my eyes locked on Cadell, eager to see how he’d handle Lorna’s grilling.
