Then he sent the photo to Theodore: [Theodore, I ran into Chloe at a bar. Should I go over and comfort her?]
Theodore replied: [Sure. I really handled this poorly and made her suffer.]
Gabriel put away his phone and started walking toward me.
But halfway there, Theodore sent him another message: [Never mind. Don’t go comfort her. Only by experiencing the pain of losing me will she treasure me more when I ‘come back from the dead,‘ right?]
