Miles shook his head sharply. “That bitch almost cost us the SIE deal. I had to swallow a 20% loss to salvage it. She should’ve been buried already.” His eyes darkened. “I’m just curious who the hell has the power to bankrupt a company in hours?” His assistant gave a quick nod and rushed out to investigate.
Miles barely had time to light a cigarette before his assistant came bursting back in. “Got it,” he panted, “It’s Hart Corporation.”
Miles’s chair screeched as he shot to his feet. “What did you just say?” Hart Corporation was the last name he expected to hear. ‘That useless old peacock Aiden, all vanity and no brains, couldn’t possibly have pulled this off.”
“Hart Corporation has taken over Junior Quinn Group. The new CEO is not Aiden,” the assistant said. “It is someone called Miss Enna. No one has seen her yet. She just started this morning. But her assistant is Reno.” He swallowed hard after saying the name.
Miles slammed his palm on the desk, eyes narrowing. “Reno? That Reno we met abroad?”
“The same one,” his assistant confirmed. “I’ve only met her once, but that face isn’t something you forget.”
Memories came rushing back. Back then, they had expected some tough–as–nails male executive. Then appeared a pigtailed girl, lollipop twirling between her fingers. “Hi, I’m Reno.” Her grin matched the playful bounce of her twin tails.
Miles took a deep breath and slowly lowered himself into the chair, his expression grim. He pressed his fingers to his temples. “Listen carefully. No one from the Quinn family is to help Sophie. Is that clear?”
Miles knew exactly what Reno’s name meant. The business world was well aware of SIE Corporation’s three most formidable assistants–Lana, Reno, and Fay Santos. He had dealt with Lana and Reno personally, though never Fay or their elusive boss, Miss Noir. Now Reno was taking charge at Hart Corporation. SIE must be behind this.
Miles didn’t know what went down at Hart Corporation, but one thing was clear. With SIE behind them, Hart Corporation wouldn’t just bounce back. They would storm the market quicker than anyone expected.
Meanwhile, companies that had ditched Hart Corporation were drowning in regret. Those begging to reconnect got flat–out rejections. As for Sophie, she had become public enemy number one overnight. With her mansion gone, the whole family was now crammed into a shabby apartment.
Vivian stared at her phone in shock, then launched herself at Sienna like an excited puppy. “Sienna, is this true? Did SIE really just partner with us? You did this, didn’t you?” She had never doubted her sister was this capable.
Sienna reached out and ruffled Vivian’s hair with a chuckle, her eyes sparkling with quiet satisfaction. “Happy now?” she asked, smiling at her sister’s beaming face.
“Of course!” Vivian pouted, eyes sparkling. “Hart Corporation was Mom’s legacy to you. That useless man ran it into the ground. Now it’s rising again!” They both knew that useless man was Aiden. Hart Corporation had always been Sienna’s, never his.
“It’s our company,” Sienna said softly. They both held shares, but when their mother passed away ten years back, they were just kids. Everything went to Sienna by default.
Vivian shook her head hard. “No way. It’s yours.” She grabbed Sienna’s hand. “I just want you.” Sienna smiled and gave her little sister’s cheek a playful pinch.
Vivian couldn’t hold back her curiosity. “Sienna, be honest with me. Do you really know SIE’s top boss? What made them want to work with us?”
From the front seat, Lana bit back a laugh. ‘If only you knew your sister is SIE’s real boss, your jaw would hit the floor.’
But Sienna kept up the act. Being SIE’s boss meant not only power, but also hidden dangers. She would help Vivian grow step by step, only sharing the full truth when her sister was ready. “We’re not that close. She owed me a favor, that’s all.”

“One tiny mistake,” Vivian whined, “and she lectured me for 30 minutes. Everything has to be perfect. It’s exhausting.”
“Do you really dislike her?” Sienna asked gently, her voice warm with concern as she carefully tucked a stray hair behind Vivian’s ear.
Vivian hesitated, then shook her head. “No, she is harsh but incredible. All my coworkers call her a legend. I feel lucky to be trained by her.” Her eyes shone with determination. “One day I want to become just like her, a true business leader.”
Lana’s eyebrows lifted slightly, surprised that Vivian had such sharp insight into people’s true characters. “You’ll get there,” Sienna said warmly, giving
her sister’s shoulder an affectionate squeeze.
Vivian kept staring at her phone. Then she gasped as the screen lit up with unbelievable news. “Sienna, pinch me. Is this real? Did Junior Quinn Group
really go bankrupt? And we got it?”
“Don’t bother with pinching,” Sienna said with a quiet smile, gently patting Vivian’s back. “It’s absolutely real.”
Vivian’s wide eyes locked onto her sister. “You did this, didn’t you?” No one else could have crushed the Quinns so thoroughly, and definitely no one would do it purely for her sake.
At Sienna’s confirming nod, Vivian’s face softened. When she hesitantly asked if this was for her, another “yes” made her face light up. She hugged Sienna’s arm tightly, pressing close with a happy smile.
Linda had fainted after being locked up for a full day. The butler informed the sisters as soon as they got back,
Aiden begged for mercy, and Sienna agreed but set clear rules. Linda would stay locked up until she wrote a thorough apology letter and promised never to do this again.
Aiden winced, knowing Linda would never agree to do that. “Sienna, she’s still your stepmom. Making her write an apology letter is going too far, don’t you think?”
Sienna’s chopsticks hit the table with a sharp crack. “Father,” her voice turned icy, “call her my ‘stepmother‘ one more time, and you can get out too. Selina was my only mother.”
