Chapter 125 The Night Before the Engagement Party
His eyes sparkled instantly.
I’ve always described his eyes as the tiniest ocean in the world.
And the way they gleamed? It was like the stars and moon shining just for me. Scattered carelessly across
his gaze, yet they left me breathless for what felt like an eternity.
Before I could snap out of my daze, I found myself pinned back onto the bed.
Almost immediately, I felt the resurgence of his desire.
Panic flickered in my eyes as I pushed against him. “Cyril…”
My words were swallowed as his lips met mine–his kiss was fiery, all–consuming, that retreat was impossible.
Cyril’s passion burned even hotter this time, and if it weren’t for the fact that I genuinely couldn’t take it anymore, he wouldn’t have stopped.
I could feel the soreness and pulsing ache between my legs, a clear sign of how far we’d gone.
I glared at him, a mix of embarrassment and irritation. Cyril, looking a little guilty, leaned down and placed a
soft kiss there.
I froze, my mind lit up like fireworks, leaving me dazed and unable to think straight.
Only when he carried me to clean up did I finally come to my senses.
He hadn’t finished, but he’d stopped because of my discomfort. As he cared for me, I felt the tension in his
every gesture.
After a slight pause, I asked softly, “Do you want me to help you?”
His eyes lit up again–if he’d had a tail, it would’ve been wagging nonstop.
Honestly, an hour later, as I rubbed my sore wrist, I deeply regretted that decision.
Cyril, on the other hand, looked utterly content, planting soft kisses at the corner of my lips.
I let out a soft laugh, leaning into his chest, and whispered, “Do you think the Charles will notice how long
you’ve stayed?”
Cyril’s voice was husky, still carrying the remnants of desire, and it sent shivers down my spine as it brushed my ear. “Don’t worry, I’ve already told him.”
I raised an eyebrow, curious. “What did you say?”
“I told him I came to seduce you, to make you cling to Philip and ensure he takes you to the engagement party of Galian. The old man was over the moon when he heard that–he thinks it’ll help the plan.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle softly. “Well, you definitely succeeded in seducing me.”
When Cyril heard my words, his eyes curved slightly as he kissed my earlobe, then whispered to me, “The engagement party is just a day away. I need to go early to make arrangements, so I won’t be able to see you for a while. If anything comes up, remember to call me.”
I nodded softly and said, “Okay.”
“Don’t worry about a thing. I’ve got it all arranged. I’ll have a stylist come two hours in advance to help you get ready, so you’ll be comfortable.”
I smiled, my eyes crinkling. “I’m so lucky to have you,”
Under the moonlight, I noticed his earlobes flushing a deep crimson–adorable, really.
Was he actually blushing?
I didn’t mention it, choosing instead to savor this rare moment.
Cyril held me for a while longer, chatting with me before finally preparing to leave.
Before he left, I gently touched his lashes and murmured, “Be safe, and don’t overwork yourself.”
He kissed my forehead with a tender reverence. “Okay.”
Once Cyril was gone, if it weren’t for the lingering soreness from where I’d applied ointment, I might’ve
convinced myself that those wild hours were just a vivid dream.
I collected myself and slipped back into a deep sleep.
When I finally opened my eyes the next day, the sun was high–it was already noon.
I lay there, staring blankly at the ceiling. Tomorrow was Galian‘ engagement party, and my emotions were a tangled mess.
I glanced at my phone. Galian still hadn’t told me about his engagement.
Given our relationship, there was no way I wouldn’t have known if he were getting married.
Yet, here we were. I couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh.
The unease in my heart turned into something palpable.
His silence was a dead giveaway–he was hiding something.
I put my phone down and began scrutinizing every detail of the plan.
Once I was sure nothing was overlooked, I got up to eat.
Then, after a moment of hesitation, I headed to the basement.
When Philip saw me, his entire body trembled. I took one look at him–his condition was far worse than
yesterday.
He’d clearly been through the wringer, his face covered in bruises, a stark whip mark across the bridge of his
nose.
I quickly looked away, but Philip, trembling uncontrollably, muttered, “Aurora, I regret not dealing with you directly back then.”
I let out a bitter laugh, then turned to 0528 with a sharp look. “Can you do me a favor?”
0528 looked up instantly. “What? Do you want me to give him a taste of his own medicine?”
Philip immediately shrank back, and I scrutinized his reaction closely, not missing a single detail. He seemed convinced that I was about to let 0528 teach him a lesson, curling up tightly, as if hoping to disappear. I couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
Then, I turned my gaze to 0528. “Let’s talk outside,” I said. Though confused, she followed me without hesitation. When we reached a quiet spot, I finally spoke up, “I need some wounds on me.”
0528 blinked, her eyes widening as if she’d just heard the impossible. “What did you just say?” she stammered, her voice trembling.
I repeated calmly, my tone unwavering, “I need you to leave a few lash marks on me.”

She was completely stunned, as if I’d just asked her to commit a crime. Her expression turned dazed, but I kept my composure, my resolve unshaken.
After all, I knew Galian like the back of my hand. If I just showed up begging for help, he’d never believe me. Everyone in the upper circle’s knew Philip’s infamous cruelty. It was impossible to imagine him taking on a new companion and treating them gently, without leaving a trace. That just wasn’t in his nature. My plan had to be perfect, every detail carefully thought out. Only then could I outsmart Galian.
