I was falling. It was dark and there was nothing around me that I could see. After a few moments of falling I saw light below me. Then suddenly I land, softly on a field of flowers, a stream flowing through that was coming from a waterfall. Woods all around, like a clearing. The moon was shining brightly, lighting up the whole area. Sitting on the shore of the stream was a massive, beautiful wolf. 

“haven?” I asked. She turned to face me with those bright purple eyes and I knew instantly that it was her. She bounded over to me like a puppy, tongue hanging out, making me laugh. When she reached me I reached out and touched her silky fur. She was so soft. 

“Oakley, my child.” Came a soft voice from behind me. I turned to see the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. She was tall and thin, wearing a long flowing white dress with thin straps at the shoulders and no shoes on. She had a silver necklace of a crescent moon. Her hair was long, to her waist, all black and curly. She had ice blue eyes. 

“Selene.” I whispered and then bowed to her. She slowly walked over to me. 

“Stand.” She said, I immediately stood. Her voice was like music to my ears. I had never heard anything like it before. She had a slight glow to her as well. 

“Oakley, you have a great power within you. you have awakened that power by marking your mate and him marking you. He will be much stronger now, being your mate his strength will need to match yours. You are meant to be a leader. You will lead the world of shifters to a time of peace but not before a time of great suffering. There will be battles and trials and it will be hard. There will be times when you want to give up but just remember that I am with you every step of the way.” She said to me. Haven had moved to sit 

next to her. 

“But can’t you stop any wars about to happen and create peace for all beings? You’re a goddess.” I inquired. She smiled at me. 

“My child. I am not allowed to interfere. I wish nothing more then for you to live in a time of peace. But I only am there to assist with wolves and mates. I can give a mate and take a mate away. I cannot change fate or destiny.” She responded with a sad smile. it must be hard to watch all the terrible things happen and know you cannot do anything about it. 

“I understand.” I said to her, she smiled brightly at me when I said that. It warmed my heart. 

“I knew you would. I brought someone with me who would like to speak with you. We don’t have much time though.” she warned before stepping to the side. Behind her stood a woman who looked like an older version of me. Different colored eyes and height but that was about it. She had tears in her eyes as she

looked at me and slowly walked toward me. I couldn’t believe it. I was frozen, afraid it wasn’t real. I knew it was a dream but one I would remember. 

“Mom?” I whispered. She nodded and tears instantly blinded me. Wiping them away I ran to her and jumped into her arms, we collapsed to the ground, holding each other and crying. 

“I miss you so much.” I told her. 

“I know you do my dear, I feel it every day. And I miss you as well. I’m always watching over you and your father.” She said to me. 

“I wish you were still with us.” I said. 

“I do too my dear but fate is a funny thing. I ran away from my fate and hid and it cost me my life. Don’t make the same mistake that I did. Your future children will need you as much as you always needed me. I am sorry I couldn’t be there for you but I am glad that I can be here to advise you and hold you one last time. Face your destiny Oakley. Win the war. Don’t run away like I did.” She said to me, holding me close to her. All I could do was nod and breathe in her scent. I knew she was leaving me again soon but I didn’t want to let her go. I held on to her tightly. 

“Please dont leave me again.” I cried softly. She just hugged me tighter and kissed my head. 

“I am always with you, I love you my sweet Oakley.” she whispered. She untangled herself from me and stood up. I could see how hard this was for her as well and i didnt want to make it worse so I didn’t say anything else. I just gave them a sad smile. 

“Don’t worry about your father dear. We are sending him a new mate. He has been through so much and he deserves a chance at real happiness. I know that he will never try to replace me. He will also be someone else’s second chance who lost their mate as well and she will be in your pack.” My mother said. with a smile. Selene nodded to confirm. I smiled at that. He did deserve to be happy. 

“Alright my dear. It’s time for you to return. Your mate will be waking up soon.” Selene said. 

“I love you mom.” I said to her. 

“I love you to my dear.” She replied. 

“Thank you.” I said to Selene. She smiled and nodded slightly. Everything around me started to lose focus and fade away. It all went black and then I was surrounded by the scent of my mate. I opened my eyes to seem him sleeping peacefully beside me, his arms around me, my leg over his. I studied his face for a moment before trailing my eyes down towards his chest. He was very built. he had very defined muscles and I looked at the muscles on his arms and thought about them holding me up against the wall. I could feel myself getting wet between my legs. 

“I can smell your arousal my angel.” He said suddenly, jumping me from my thoughts. Il that he was awake. I looked up to see amusement in his eyes.

“As much as I want you my angel, I don’t think it would be wise for us to miss breakfast. Specially since we have marked each other. The pack will have felt the shift in power from one alpha to an alpha and

wandering to where his mark now was. I took a moment to look at his mark as well, it was a crescent moon that was black with a silver wolf howing at it 

“What does mine look like?” I asked him. 

“A silver crescent moon with a black wolf howling at it.” He told me. I found it interesting that the wolves were our wolves colors. Then I remembered my dream. 

“I need to tell you about the dream I had last night.” I said to him.
