Chapter 148
“How long was 1 out?” I looked around at all worried faces.
Everyone was here, huddled around the bed I was on. Only one person was missing, and I figured it was probably because he wasn’t welcome.
“Maybe an hour. Doc says it couldn’t just be exhaustion. They’ve taken some bloods just to make sure you’re okay,” Blake explained, gently rubbing the Back of my hand.
I nodded and looked down at my free hand, picking on the loose strand of string.
I still felt a little nauseous, but it wasn’t as bad as before. My head was pounding, and my body ached. Maybe the dramas from today had taken a toll on my fragile body. I hadn’t really eaten much today either. I held on to Blake’s hand tightly, trying to find comfort.
Blake got off his seat and picked me up bridal style before sitting on the bed with me on his lap. I knew he could smell my anxiety. I wrapped my arms around him and snuggled into his arms, letting his heartbeat and warm touch calm my nerves.
Right at that moment, the door opened, and to my surprise, the person missing in the room walked in.
“Nice of you all to tell me Rosy was unwell,” Max growled as he walked towards the bed.
“It was intentional,” Blake snapped, tightening his arms around me.
“Of course it was. I have a right to know Blake! You can’t jus-…”
“Max…” I croaked. All eyes turned to me.
“Please. Not now.” I pleaded.
Max clenched his jaws and stared at me. His eyes were searching for something on my face.
“I’m okay. Just shut up and stand over there somewhere” I rolled my eyes and snuggled back into Blake.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, inhaling Blake’s scent. It wasn’t his usual cologne that was tantalizing. For some reason, today, there was another scent that I was finding very soothing and attractive about Blake.
I was lost in that scent, clinging on to the warmth and safety Blake was offering. He was the light, and I was the moth attracted to his shine.
The door opened again, and the doctor walked in with a clipboard in his hands.
He walked up to the bed and stood next to us with a smile on his face.
“King Cooper, Luna Rosalie,” the doctor bowed before turning to Nate.
“Alpha Cooper, Luna Sue. Good to see you too” he bowed for them and then turned back towards me.
“How are you feeling now, Luna?” The doctor tucked the clipboard under his arm.
I straightened up a little but stayed in Blake’s arms.
“I’m okay. I do have a headache and still, feel nauseous. Will that pass?”
The doctor chuckled before giving me a knowing smile.
“It will pass in about 12-13 weeks.”
“What? Why that long? Is something wrong?” I looked up at Blake, who was just as confused.
“Luna, you’re pregnant,” he gushed.

Chapter 148
“Wha… what?!” Both Blake and I exclaimed together.
“You’re three weeks pregnant. Congrats!” The doctor cheered.
Gasps and whispers filled the room.
The doctor looked around, confused as to why everyone was so stunned.
I couldn’t breathe. It felt like the air had been knocked out of my lungs.
Pregnant?! Me?!
How was that possible?! We hadn’t finished the mating yet. Besides, Blake was sterile.
Blake’s hands tightened around my arms, bringing me back to reality.
I looked up at his pale face. He was equally as shocked.
“Yo-… you’re pregnant?!” Blake stuttered.
I tried to swallow the lump forming in my throat.
“How?!” His eyes searched mine for answers. Answers I didn’t have.
Blake’s wet, shocked eyes held a hint of another emotion that made my stomach churning more then it already was.
Betrayal…
God, did he think I had cheated?!
Blake was asking a crucial question. A question everyone in the room was silently asking.
How was I pregnant?!…
