“I haven’t finished yet, Blakey” I smiled at him and wiped my fears away. “However, I’m not going to let the fear of death control my life. I have sa më good things happening for me right now, and I would like to enjoy every bit of it up until death consumes me. So, thank you for your generous offer bet Blake is mine, and I will not let some stuck–up slut take him away from me. I understand you trying to make your granddaughter’s life better, mit she’s hand a very happy and joyous life. Getting whatever she wants on a silver platter. But 1, on the other hand, have been to hell and back. I think I’m deserving of a wonderful man like Blake.” I looked up at Blake, and my heart pinched a little at the big smile he had on his face.
He grabbed my face and pulled me into a long passionate kiss. His free arm still wrapped around me. tightly, holding me in place.
By the time we pulled away, my lungs were burning.
Blake cupped my face with both his hands and looked me dead in the eyes.
“I love you so much, Angel. You are my world and I promise you, I will find a way to get you out of this even if I have to sell my soul to the devil. Because if your heart stops beating, then so will mine.”
Cynthia’s snort echoed through the gazebo.
“I hope your bitch dies a painful death and then rots in hell.” she flipped her hair and stormed away, cursing Blake and me as she stormed away.
Evelyn watched Cynthia disappear into the house before standing up and clearing her throat. “I hope you’ve thought this through, Rosy. A decaying body can be very painful.”
“We will help her manage that pain. You do not have to worry yourself anymore, Evelyn.” Kendyl spoke, standing up and straightening her dress.
Benji, Sara, and Elijah stood up with her and nodded in agreement.
“Very well. Mia, I’m guessing you too will be helping our doomed Luna?” Evelyn turned to her granddaughter.
“Yes, Grandma, I will. I have a responsibility that I vowed to honor. If my Luna needs me, I will stand by her.” Mia sighed and walked over to stand next to Kendyl.
Evelyn nodded and turned towards me. “I wish you the very best. I hope you understand the repercussions of the decision you’ve made. Use whatever time you have left wisely.”
She gave me one last look before turning to walk away.
“Please show yourself out, Klaus,” she called over her shoulder as she disappeared into the house.
I noticed The Coven members exchanged a look before we started to move.
We all headed around the side of the house and out a back gate that led us out to our cars. Before getting into their cars, The Coven members stopped in front of their vehicles.
“King Cooper, I’m really sorry about this. I didn’t know the depth of this situation. As much as we can’t help you lift the suppressant, we can help lessen Luna’s pain and hopefully heal whatever part of her decays to extend her life a little.” you could hear the disappointment in Klaus’s voice.
“Thank you, Klaus. We would appreciate that. Although there must be another way? There has to be” Blake looked down at me; he looked tired and sad.
“If there is a way, we will find it. I will help The Coyen find it.” Rocky added. I turned to find him wiping his wet eyes.
“I will not lose my sister. There has to be another way.”
I smiled at Rocky, “I’m happy you all want to help keep me alive, but I really just want to enjoy the time I have left. Klaus, is there any way to predict h long I have?”
“No, Luna. It all depends on how strong your immune system is. Your body won’t be able to fight for very long, but we can help you increase your immunity, and that will help possibly slow down the process,” he explained.
