Chapter 205

“So, how is your ironclad plan going now?!” Blake snorted.

“That bitch of yours wasn’t meant to change into her stupid wolf. What the fuck is the point of a suppression spell if it can’t suppress shit.” Amon yelled.

Flake let out a loud growl that shook the already ruined building. “YOU DO NOT SPEAK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT!” He snarled.

“What are you going to do about it, huh?! Kill me? It’s your stupid brother and those mages over there that are keeping you alive right now, asshole. Otherwise, I would have your head served on a platter by now.” Amon snarled back.

“Are you really that power hungry?! You killed two of my children just so you could take my title?!” Michael sounded bewildered.

“This isn’t about you; it’s about my freedom! I don’t care for your stupid title or your damn family. I just want to be able to do whatever the fuck I want. But thanks to the Moon Goddess and her stupid curse, I am stuck in this boy’s body until there is no one left with the Whitlock bloodline. All you Whitlocks will die, even Josh. Your blood is the price for my freedom, and I will happily spill every single drop.” Amon shrieked.

A loud thud behind me had Kiki’s head whip around to find Kendyl lying on the floor. Blood was now literally pouring out of the rest of The Coven member’s noses.

“Someone, please do something to stop this,” I sobbed, knowing no one else besides Kiki could hear me.

“Say less,” Kiki growled before turning toward Amon. She snapped her teeth and snarled loudly.

Before anyone could react, Kiki started sprinting. She closed the distance between Amon and us so fast that if you blinked, you would have missed it.

“Theá voithisé me,” Kiki boomed as she launched herself into the air, hurling us at Amon.

I could see Rocky and Josh’s eyes widen. Even though Amon was in control, you could see flickers of Josh in Amon’s silver glowing orbs.

Rocky quickly pushed Amon forward, keeping his arms restricted tightly behind his back. He ducked down just as Kiki opened her mouth wide, sinking her teeth into Josh’s neck. As Kiki clamped down on Josh’s neck, my mouth was suffused with the metallic taste of blood, making me gag. How was that possible? I wasn’t physically tasting the blood, yet the horrid taste was caressing my tongue.

Amon’s screams bounced off the ruined walls, rattling whatever was left of the windows.

“NOOO!” Michael yelled, reaching out to pull Kiki off Josh’s neck, but, before he could, Blake grabbed him and started dragging him away.

Amon thrashed around, trying to shake Kiki off and set himself free from Rocky, but Rocky was using his werewolf strength to keep him in place, and there was no escaping that. The metallic smell of blood filled my nostrils as Kiki’s sharp teeth punctured Josh’s jugular, making blood gush out and splash all over my wolf’s gray fur. I felt my stomach churn from the sight before me. When did I get so sensitive to blood?

As I tried to calm my weak stomach, a loud crunch echoed through the room, silencing Amon’s ear–splitting yelling. Tranquility replaced the storm that was raging inside the building. What just happened?! I tried to look around as far as I could to figure out why the atmosphere had suddenly changed.

“He’s dead. I’ve crushed his neck.” Kiki muttered as she dropped Josh’s lifeless body to the ground and stepped back. Fresh blood gushed out of the puncture marks Kiki’s teeth had left. Amon’s glowing silver eyes were gone leaving behind Josh’s now dull hazel ones.

“I’m sorry, Rosalie, but I have to go take care of Amon. I will be back, okay? I am a part of you and will always be part of you.” Kiki vowed, but before I could ask what she meant, agony ripped through me as the sound of my bones cracking filled the now quiet atmosphere.

“Angel!” Blake yelled before running toward me.

The pain had numbed all my senses, making me want to burst out of my skin just to get awesome comfort.

“Just breathe, Angel. It will all be over soon.“/Blake whispered, stroking my back where the für was starting to disappear.

I screamed as more bones cracked and rearranged; the entire process seemed more painful than before as my body convulsed from the agony. A burning itch crept up my skin as it stretched back into my human form again. I could feel my soul suddenly teleport back into my body, gaining access to my limbs. My lungs filled up with air making me gasp and cough as I choked on the air.

Chapter 205

“Breath Angel, breathe,” Blake begged, rubbing my back as he tried to comfort me.

I could feel the pain starting to dull, clearing the numbness and fog. All my human senses slowly returned, and I felt more human than I did five minutes ago. I blinked and swallowed loudly, trying to soothe my dry throat. Once I could focus more, I found myself lying on the floor on my side, looking up at a very concerned Blake.

As I tried to sit up, a blanket was suddenly draped around my shoulders. I turned to find Max standing behind me. He gave me a weak smile before backing away with his face aveited. Blake slowly leaned forward and pulled the blanket to cover me entirely. He must have noticed the confused look on my face because he gave me a tight smile before reaching out to cup my face.

“When you shift back to your human form, you are normally naked,” he explained.

I quickly looked down at myself. My skin was covered in dirt and a clear slimy liquid.

“The mucus you see is from the fur changing into your skin. It helps keep your skin hydrated and happens during your first few shifts, but after a while, it will stop.” Blake explained like he could read my mind.

Blake rubbed his thumb gently across my cheek. His eyes glittered with concern.

“Please say something. Your silence is scaring me.” Blake whispered.

I swallowed, trying to wet my parched throat so I could speak. My brain tried to process all the information 1 had learned as well as the fact that I had transformed into a giant wolf. My eyes wandered over to the spot Kiki had dropped Josh’s lifeless body. I was still very overwhelmed and shaken by what had happened. Was it me that had killed him or Kiki?

Michael sat next to Josh’s motionless body holding his hand. His head hung with quiet sobs escaping his lips as he gently kissed the back of Josh’s hand. Jonathon stood behind Michael, looking bored and annoyed.
