I looked up at him, and he was so confident that, for some reason, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. I smiled at him and said,
“Alright.”

my time eating the steak, glancing at Cyril every now and then. He poured me a glass of red wine and asked, “Aurora, I’m guessing there’s more to your proposal than just this, right?”
I was surprised by his insight, but I took a sip of wine and said softly, “Yes, but the rest of it will have to wait until you’re the one in
charge of the Hartman family. Then we can talk further
Cyril gave a slightly amused but resigned smile. “Guess I’m not quite there yet.”
I didn’t reply directly. To be honest, although bringing down Cadell was my current priority, but I was more eager to know the whereabouts of my sister.
The thing was, Cyril wasn’t at the center of power in the Hartman family yet. There were some things he wouldn’t know, and talking to him about them now wouldn’t help–it might even tip off the wrong people.
Once he became the heir, I’d be able to bring it up.
The whole dinner was nice enough. Cyril paid the bill and then he dropped me off at home.
Once I got inside, I organized all the evidence and the timeline into a neat PowerPoint presentation, laying everything out clearly,
Then, I bundled everything up, including the video, and posted it on Instagram.
I knew if I just posted it normally, the Hartman family would try to bury it.
So after posting it, I called up my service provider and had them push my post to the top of the trending list to make sure it reached everyone.
Sure enough, in less than an hour, the views had already surpassed a million.
i gave enough concrete proof–detailed hospital records from the past eight years showing no connection to any avalanche or hypothermia, all confirmed by Cadell’s family doctor.
I also listed his entire schedule, proving he hadn’t gone skiing at all.
The so–called clarification video had turned into a complete joke!
Watching the frenzy in the comments section, I smirked and released another post.
This one was even more personal–Codell’s private medical issues, all of which he had seen his family doctor for, and all of which were related to andrology.
I didn’t even know about these issues until I dug into it. It was a slap in the face.
I sent another sarcastic post.
Aurora: A guy who needs to see an andrologist thinks he’s worthy of me? Cadell, I couldn’t care less about your money or your, uh,
poor performance in bed.
I felt so damn good after hitting “send“, and I started to edit another post
His clarification had been dealt with, but my retaliation wasn’t even halfway through.
Before I could finish editing the next post, my phone rang. It was Cadell.
I didn’t pick up, and he kept calling over and over.
At that point, I could almost hear how desperate he was.
I was in the best mood, so I finally answered the phone.
Chapter 18 Cadell Is Crucified
As soon as I picked up the phone, Cadell’s furious voice came through loud and clear. “Aurora! Are you out of your damn mind? What the hell are you posting online? Delete it now! It’s an order!”
I leaned back, casually listening to him rant, and asked with a hint of sarcasm, “Did I say anything wrong? Everything I posted is
100% true.”
Cadell was livid–his heavy breathing came through the phone so clearly. I could practically feel his rage.

Through gritted teeth, he spat, “Aurora, are you seriously going to make an enemy of me once and for all?”
My voice turned cold as I retorted, “Cadell, you started this by throwing dirt on my name. You should’ve thought about the consequences before you posted that stupid clarification video”
He shouted back, “Aurora! Don’t you get it? My reputation is everything to the Hartman family! I built that company from scratch. It’s my sweat and tears. Do you really want to see it all go up in smoke?”
I couldn’t help but laugh bitterly. “What does that have to do with me? Cadell, do I need to remind you of something? You’re the Jone who crushed my heart underfoot. Everything you’re going through right now is your own damn fault.”
After a brief, deliberate pause, I added with a sharp grin, “I didn’t even want it to get this messy, you know. But you just couldn’t get enough. You want to be with Lorna openly, but you can’t bear to give up all the revenue from True Love Ring. Well, Cadell, this is what you get.”
My words really set him off. I could hear him screaming and cursing at the top of his lungs. I just waited until his voice went hoarse before I calmly said, Thanks, Cadell. You just gave me more evidence. I’ve recorded this conversation. You’ll see it online
soon.
After that, I hung up the phone. Just before I ended the call, I heard a loud crash–he must have thrown his phone in a fit of rage.
In a calm mind, I uploaded the recording and then got back to editing my post.
By the time I finished editing, the recording had already blown up online.
People were laughing at Cadell, calling him spineless and saying he was nothing like the gentle, perfect image he’d been marketing.
Many were disappointed by his true color and started returning their True Love Rings. They even posted screenshots of their refunds in my comment section.
Cadell was desperately trying to clarify things with the official account, but at this point, in comparison to my solid evidence, his posts looked like nothing more than a bad joke.
No one really bought what he said.
I couldn’t help but smile, and I muttered in my mind, ‘Cadell, if you can’t handle this yet, you’re about to lose it even more.
I called Edmund for his opinion. After getting his go–ahead, I added the bit about Lorna cheating after her engagement into my post and then sent it out.
In this post. I ripped into Cadell and Lorna for their shameless behavior and made it clear that I was the creator of True Love Ring
From the moment the ring was first marketed, Cadell had claimed the credit for its creation.
He said it was inspired by his deep love for me, and the ring was a reminder to himself to always stay loyal to me, to always love
But only I knew the truth–he had bought the design for the ring.
And the designer? Well, that was me.
Who else would sell such a perfect design for 30 million dollars? No designer worth their salt would just hand over something like that.
I admitted that back then, I was all caught up in the romance, thinking that as long as it made him happy. I didn’t mind giving him
my design
After all, it was a symbol of our love.
But I never imagined that Cadell would be so shameless to betray our seven–year relationship.
Thankfully, I didn’t throw the original sketch away. Now, it was my strongest piece of evidence.
Once my post went up, the entire situation leveled up to the peak.
Who would’ve thought the once upstanding man, Cadell, was not only a cheater, but he’d been having an affair for five years!
And to top it off, he was still trying to sell himself as someone loyal, fooling innocent consumers and making a profit off his fake
image.
But it didn’t end there. After his affair came to light, he actually turned around and smeared his partner’s name, throwing her under the bus and letting her take the brunt of the insults.

Most importantly, True Love Ring was designed by his partner.
As more and more of these revelations came out, Cadell was absolutely crucified.
The same people who’d once insulted me were now turning all their fury on him, using words so sharp that it was like they were sharpening knives on him.
As for the people who’d sent me creepy dolls in the mail, they all slid into my DMs to apologize. But I didn’t bother responding.
They blindly believed in a baseless video and used me as their emotional punching bag.
I wasn’t about to play the saint and forgive them.
In fact, I filed a lawsuit against them.
After all that, I felt a lot lighter, like the weight in my chest had finally lifted.
The trending topics kept updating, and the biggest one eventually read: True Love Ring Is The Biggest Scam? Buyers Rush to Request Refunds!
I took a quick glance at the news. Over 100,000 people had already asked for refunds, and the number was still climbing.
Finally, I felt some relief.
I closed my laptop, ready to rest, when I got a video from Cyril.
I clicked on it, and it was footage of Cadell losing it at home. He was smashing vases, swearing at me with red eyes. His
meltdown was something to see.
I laughed to myself and saved the video, thinking I’d pull it out whenever I needed a good laugh.
We chatted for a while, and just as I was about to say goodnight, Cyril dropped a bombshell.
Cyril: Aurora, Cadell’s grandfather is coming back.
I froze for a second, and my eyes turned stormy.
