Chapter 27 Cadell Is Detained
Since the last time Cadell slandered my name online, causing a drunken man to smash my door with an axe, I had moved to a new place.
And the place I was living now, I’d never told Cadell about it. He definitely didn’t know where it was.
More importantly, it had a strict security system, making it nearly impossible for outsiders to get in.
It was precisely because of this that I decided to move here.
But now, Cadell had managed to find this place accurately?
Could it be that Cyril leaked the information?

I didn’t get out of the car immediately; instead, I patiently waited.

definitely wouldn’t recognize me.
I waited for about ten minutes in the car until I finally saw someone walking down from upstairs.
She had herself wrapped up tightly, wearing sunglasses and a mask, clearly trying not to be recognized.
I watched closely and finally confirmed her identity–it was Lorna.
I let out a breath of relief. It seemed Cadell was here to find her.
At the same time, I couldn’t help but feel a little confused. How did Lorna end up living in the same area as
me?
And why hadn’t I seen her these past few days?
I furrowed my brow, watching as Cadell carefully protected Lorna and the two of them got into the car.
Once their car door was closed, it suddenly dawned on me.
No wonder I hadn’t seen her around lately! Lorna probably hasn’t dared to leave her house!

destroying other people’s relationships!
She had to cover herself up completely when she went out–if she were recognized, she’d definitely be publicly shamed.
A cold smile spread across my face.
I hadn’t expected Cadell to still be so affectionate toward Lorna. Even with everything that had happened, he still doted on her!
But this might be a good thing for me. As long as I was careful and avoided being spotted by Lorna and

I had a feeling that Loma could become the key to a breakthrough!
Thinking about this, I felt much more at ease.
Once Cadell’s car disappeared from my sight, I got out of the car and went home.
As soon as I got home, my phone rang.
I looked down and saw that it was a message from Lorna.
I raised an eyebrow, opening the message with a hint of sarcasm.
Lorna had sent me a photo. In it, she and Cadell were holding hands. I noticed that they were both wearing
wedding rings.
It was the latest design, with gems that were full and
sophisticated. One glance was enough to tell that they were expensive.
I let out a cold laugh. When Cadell and I got married, I was the one who handled all the arrangements,
including the wedding rings.
I had originally planned a grand wedding, but Cadell told me he didn’t care for expensive wedding rings and didn’t place importance on such formalities. If we spent too much money on the wedding ring, he would be
unhappy.
In the end, our wedding rings weren’t very exquisite; we just picked a decent–looking style in a hurry.
As the wedding day approached, Cadell actually lost the wedding ring. When I discovered it, he didn’t care at all and even planned to use one of his own rings as a temporary replacement.
How could I possibly agree to that?
The wedding ring could be simple, but it absolutely couldn’t be absent!
In the end, I had to buy a new one.
But now, it seemed that Cadell wasn’t against having an expensive wedding ring, nor was he truly indifferent
to ceremony.
He just couldn’t be bothered to put any thought into me.
I stared at the wedding ring on his hand, gritting my teeth, my chest tightening with anger. The ring he was wearing now was the one that had been intended to replace our wedding ring back then!
It turned out he’d already had a plan. Not only did he want to secretly wear a wedding dress with Lorna at our wedding, but he also wanted to wear the exact same wedding ring as hers!
This discovery made me even angrier. If I hadn’t received the video of his affair the day before the wedding, I might have become the laughingstock of the world after this wedding!
The groom and the bridesmaid both wearing wedding rings–it was disgusting just thinking about it!
After sending the photo, Lorna smugly said, “Aurora, I really have to thank you. If you hadn’t targeted me and posted my video online, how could Cadell treat me so well? Aurora, I don’t know if you know, but Cadell and I
are getting married.”

I replied sarcastically. “Then I wish you happiness. I hope you’re happy for more than four minutes every day.”
I said this on purpose–after all, Cadell could only last four minutes.
Loma clearly understood my sarcasm, and she became furious, starting to curse at me viciously.
Watching her string of curses, I calmly responded, “Did I hit a nerve? Lorna, think about it–you’re actually quite pitiful. You’ve schemed so much, and in the end, you’re marring an impotent man.”
I paused, slowly typing on the keyboard. “Oh, I almost forgot, you probably don’t care about this, right? After all, you love having affairs so much–there will probably be many more secret trysts in your future.”
Lorna became even angrier. “Aurora, you can’t keep your man, so you’re jealous of me! A pathetic person like you will never be able to compare to me in this lifetime!”
I clicked my tongue dismissively. “What am I jealous of? Jealous of you becoming a nationally known s**t, or jealous of you finding a man who’s impotent? You and Cadell are not even worth my jealousy.”
I continued coldly, “I suggest you cherish these happy moments while you can, because after tonight, it’ll be hard for you to be happy again.”
I checked the time–tonight, Cadell should be arrested, right?
I was waiting to see if they would still be able to smile.
