The anger inside me seemed to find an outlet as I coldly watched him flounder in frustration, a small part of me feeling a sense of relief.
Cadell’s face twisted, his gaze fixed on me with intense focus, and his voice became shrill. “Aurora, have you been secretly involved with my uncle all along? You must have done that on purpose during the wedding! You deliberately ruined my and Lorna’s reputations so that you could have an excuse to break up with me, right?
Aurora, you’re truly vile!”
His insults didn’t affect me in the slightest.
I simply responded with a cold laugh, “Are you looking for an excuse for your own infidelity? You’ve been hiding your five–year affair with Lorna behind my back, and now, just because of this, you’re rushing to accuse
me of cheating, thinking you can erase your mistakes in an instant?”
I warned him, “Cadell, let me tell you this. I met Cyril at our wedding. Although we’ve only known each other for a few days, I think he’s superior to you in every way, especially…”
I didn’t continue, letting my gaze land pointedly on his lower body, an aggressive glint in my eyes.
Cadell instantly understood what I meant. At that moment, it seemed as if I had struck him deeply. His eyes
burned with fury, nearly bleeding with rage.
He gritted his teeth, each letter seeming to be forced out between clenched teeth, “Aurora Wenmir!”
I moved closer to Cyril, deliberately appearing more intimate. “What? Still hung up on me? Too bad, with your
ability to last only four minutes, I can’t accept that. Maybe you should get your health in order before coming
back to me.”
Cadell’s face contorted. Unable to suppress his fury any longer, he raised his arm, as if about to strike me
across the face.
Cyril, who had been standing by, watching my provocation with indulgence, suddenly turned cold. His eyes
sharpened as he swiftly reached out and grabbed Cadell’s arm when it swung toward me.
Cyril’s grip was strong, and I could even see the veins bulging on his arm.
Cadell’s face instantly turned pale, cold sweat quickly beading on his forehead.
He glared at Cyril with feigned bravado. “Uncle Cyril, are you really going to help an outsider to do this to me?
Aren’t you afraid Grandpa will cause trouble for you?”
Cyril sneered, “Since I’m your uncle, I have every right to discipline you. Cadell, if you keep being so rude, I won’t hesitate to personally send you to prison!”
Cadell was nearly beside himself with rage, but his strength was no match for Cyril’s!
He could only grit his teeth, glaring at me. “Aurora, you’re so heartless. Are you really going to betray the seven years we’ve spent together?”
“Don’t mention those seven years. It disgusts me,” I replied coldly.
If Cadell truly cared about those seven years, how could he have cheated at the wedding?

Since he didn’t care about it, why should I? He was the shameless one, not me.
Cadell was stunned by my words, his breathing becoming rapid. “So now you’re going to betray me and be with my uncle?”
I looked at him with indifference. “Who do you think you are to comment on my relationships?”
“I’m your fiancé! I’ve loved you for seven years!” he nearly screamed in madness.
“Is that the fiancé who cheated on me on our wedding day? Or the one who ruthlessly trampled on my love for seven years? Cadell Hartman, aren’t you ashamed to say that?” My sarcasm pierced deep, like a knife.
I could clearly see his face turning even paler, like a gambler who had lost everything, still making futile
struggles.
Cyril looked at him coldly. “Cadell, you’re being childish. I advise you to stop wasting time here throwing a
tantrum. Think about how you’re going to deal with the True Love Ring matter, and stop embarrassing
yourself further.”
Cadell was completely enraged by this comment. “Cyril, do you think your relationship with Aurora makes you stronger than me? The heir of the Hartman family will always be me, and you will forever be a failure under
my command!”
He was almost out of his mind, speaking as he struggled, trying to prove how successful he was.
I let out a light laugh. “Cadell, since Charles has returned, it’s time for you to know those secrets now. Do you
really think… You can hold onto the heir position?”
I was utterly tired of him, so I didn’t hesitate to threaten him.
Cadell’s breathing became erratic. He looked at me with suspicion, clenching his teeth as he said, “You
wouldn’t dare, Aurora! You definitely wouldn’t!”
He repeated the words, as though saying them more would make it a reality.
I looked at him impatiently. “Wouldn’t I dare? What do you think?”
Cadell clenched his teeth. It seemed that he finally realized that since I dared to disrupt the wedding, I
wouldn’t be afraid of transferring shares.
He stopped speaking, as the heir title was his last card. If he lost that, he would be completely finished.
He couldn’t accept that!
I glanced at Cyril, making sure Cadell wouldn’t cause any more trouble, then softly asked him, “Have you
decided where to eat?”
Cyril smiled faintly. “There’s a French restaurant, It’s quite good. Wanna try it?”
I had no objections. After all, I was just accompanying Cyril. Wherever he went, I was fine with it.
However, upon hearing our conversation, Cadell could no longer hold back. He glared at me, as if summoning every ounce of his strength to ask, “Aurora, have you chosen Cyril?”
I raised an eyebrow. “Does it still matter? In any case, I won’t choose you.”
Cadell gritted his teeth, his eyes full of cold hatred.
I couldn’t be bothered with him. A small character like him wouldn’t affect me.

Cadell lowered his voice and roared behind me, “Aurora, you’ll regret this.”
I didn’t even glance back.
What did I have to regret? The one who was about to lose his heir status wasn’t me.
