Chapter 46 The Embarrassment Went Viral
When the news broke, the whole scene immediately erupted. Everyone turned their attention to Lorna and Cadell and soon began whispering among themselves.
Although it was hard to make out the specifics of their hushed conversations, one could easily imagine that they were likely filled with unkind words.
The expressions on their faces only made me laugh inwardly.
People like them, so proud and arrogant, could never tolerate being ridiculed in front of others.
As someone prepared to take out their phone to record a video, Lorna clearly couldn’t take it anymore. She screamed and ran off, even forgetting to confront Cadell.
It seemed that Cadell wanted to say something, but when he saw someone pulling out a phone to record, he immediately shut his mouth and quickly turned to run.
Who would want to stay in this situation?
Given how disheveled they looked now, if the video were to spread, it would certainly tarnish the Hartman family’s reputation!
Cadell wasn’t stupid–why would he stay to become the subject of ridicule?
I was quite satisfied with this outcome.
After the protagonists left, the bystanders seemed a bit regretful and muttered, “I never thought the high
society would be so dirty. Even the bitches in it are so disgusting!”
I almost burst out laughing. These bystanders really knew how to talk, and their imagination was impressive.
Another person sighed, “What a shame. If we had filmed this earlier and posted it online, it would’ve definitely
gone viral!”
“What did you catch on camera? I got some footage too. Want to exchange?” someone else quickly asked.
I raised an eyebrow. Out of habit, I always carried my recording device, and while these bystanders hadn’t caught the embarrassing moments of Lorna and Cadell, I had.
After a moment’s hesitation, I swiftly edited the footage of Lorna falling into the pile of dog poop and also
trimmed out the part where Cadell ended up looking like a mess.
Seeing the regretful expressions on the bystanders, I raised my hand and said, “I have the video too. Does
anyone want it?”
Their eyes instantly lit up, and they hurried over to ask me for the video.
I sent the video to each of them. Such an amusing scene, of course, shouldn’t be kept just to myself.
After receiving the video, the bystanders left, satisfied, and I deleted the sent messages, heading the IP in a happy mood.
I had promised Charles not to target Cadell again, but since this video was uploaded by bystanders, he
couldn’t hold me responsible, could he?
That thought made me feel much lighter.

Chapter 46 The Embatran
Sure enough, that evening, I saw the video trending online, and people everywhere were laughing at the two
of them.
Almost at the same time, Cyril called me via video.
In the past, our communications had mostly been through text or brief phone calls, so this was the first time he’d called me on video, which caught me a little off guard.
I quickly got up and couldn’t resist fixing my hair in front of the mirror. Only after I had finished did I realize I had acted a bit out of character.
Somehow, I had started caring about my appearance in front of Cyril.
This realization made me feel a little dazed, and I didn’t even notice when the video call was hung up.
It wasn’t until Cyril called again that I snapped back to reality and hastily answered.
Cyril looked in a good mood, his eyes filled with joy.
The light above him cast a soft glow, outlining his features and making him appear even more charming.
Cyril had a subtle tear mole at the corner of his eye, which was captivating at first glance.
I had to admit that I was stunned by his handsomeness.
At that moment, I froze.
It seemed Cyril noticed my gaze, and he tilted his lips into a smile, “What’s wrong? Are you mesmerized?”
I quickly shifted my gaze, unwilling to answer his question. “Ahem, why did you suddenly call me on video? Is there something you need to tell me?”
Cyril didn’t pursue the topic but smiled even wider.
His smile made my face flush, and I was glad he wasn’t physically there. Otherwise, he’d surely laugh at me.
“It’s nothing serious. I just wanted to ask if you were the one behind the trending video.” He raised an eyebrow,
his tone playful.
I blinked. “What do you think?”
“I knew it was you.” Cyril chuckled lightly. “Aurora, you know, when Cadell saw that video, he went absolutely mad. He smashed a lot of things at home and got scolded by Charles. Now, he’s locked up in a dark room.”
I was a bit surprised. Didn’t Charles always have a lot of tolerance for Cadell?
Why was he so angry this time?
Seemingly sensing my confusion, Cyril explained with a laugh, “You probably didn’t know, but Charles has been negotiating with high–end brands lately. He was about to close a deal when Cadell suddenly pulled this stunt. Now, people online are saying…”
He paused for a moment, and when he saw the expectant look on my face, he continued, “They’re saying that after this incident, people now feel the Hartman family’s jewelry isn’t noble enough and instead appears
cheap.”
I understood immediately. My actions had been very effective and had severely damaged the Hartman
family’s reputation.

Chaple At The Erblinas
If they wanted to pursue a high–end market in the future, it would certainly be much more difficult.
After all, who would want to spend millions on jewelry that, once worn out in public, would only make people wonder if it had dog poop on it….
Just thinking about it was enough to make anyone cringe.
If the Hartman family wanted to restore its former glory, it wasn’t going to be easy.
I smiled at Cyril. “No wonder you’re so happy. Watching them suffer is indeed quite satisfying.”
“No,” Cyril’s smile grew even brighter, “I’m in a good mood because… I took that deal. That brand is now going
to work with me. Aurora, all of this happened because of you. You’re my lucky star!”
I blinked, surprised that Cyril trusted me so much and shared such an important piece of information with
- me.
It seemed that even without me selling him the shares, he was capable of defeating the Hartman family.
He really did have that kind of power.
Just as I was still processing this, Cyril suddenly said, “To thank you, I’m giving you ten percent of the shares
as a gift. Aurora, let’s sign the contract tomorrow.”
I was stunned, unable to believe what I was hearing, staring at Cyril in the video.
Did he just say… What I thought he said?
