Chapter 65 Have You Seen My Sister?
Cyril gently comforted me, “Don’t worry, no one knows what you intend to do.”
He lowered his eyes slightly and said softly, “The reason I know is because I wanted to understand you, so without your consent, I investigated you.”
If anyone else had said this to me, I would have felt deeply offended.
However, at this very moment, Cyril appeared unusually cautious, like a dog that had made a mistake,
looking at me with those beautiful eyes. I found it hard to get angry with him.
I helplessly asked, “Cyril, since you already know my goal, are you still willing to cooperate with me?”
The matters involving the Hartman family were extremely complicated. Once you cooperated with me, it
meant stepping into a vortex, potentially facing targeting from many powerful people, even losing everything
as a result.
I asked this question to give Cyril a choice.
If he didn’t want to get involved, then our cooperation would end here.
Without hesitation, Cyril answered, “Aurora, I told you, I will be your most trustworthy partner.”
I had to admit, after he said that, my heart raced so violently it felt like it would leap out of my chest.
“Have you really thought this through?” I couldn’t help but ask, “If we’re discovered, the consequences might…”
“I’ve thought it through.” He interrupted me, his eyes full of affection. “Aurora, my goal is the same as yours. I want to destroy their deal. This is a necessary step in swallowing up the Hartman family.”
That was indeed true.
I didn’t continue to dwell on the question and instead extended my hand, saying, “Let’s have a pleasant cooperation.”
His palm enveloped mine, warm and burning, to the point where I instinctively pulled back a little.
There was no other reason for this; after all, we had just gone through an intense intimate encounter, which inevitably made one think of certain things.
Cyril didn’t seem to notice my reaction and continued, “Aurora, the reason I went to Nightfall Bar is that I discovered something.”
I snapped back to attention and looked at him seriously.
“I met a girl. She seems to be a victim of the Hartman family’s industrial chain. Do you want to meet her?”
Cyril was asking for my opinion.
My breath instantly became more rapid, and I nodded firmly.
Cyril made a call, and a few minutes later, there was a knock on our door.
By this time, I had already changed into new clothes. Cyril opened the door, and a frail girl walked in.
I examined her closely. She was very beautiful, probably under twenty, looking young, but her eyes didn’t have

the vitality typical of young people.
On the contrary, her eyes were filled with numbness and pain, as if she had endured countless tortures.
When I gazed at her, she was also looking at me.
When she saw my face again, her pupils slightly contracted, and my heart raced. I couldn’t help but ask her, “Have you seen my sister?”
Sylvia and I share some similarities, but I had never seen this girl before. The only possibility for her to show such an unusual reaction was that she had seen my sister!
The girl didn’t answer my question but turned her gaze toward Cyril.
She seemed uneasy, only Cyril seemed to give her a sense of security.
Cyril spoke to her, “Don’t worry, Miss Wenmir is someone you can fully trust. Whatever she asks, just answer.”
Only then did the girl cautiously look at me, like a frightened deer, as if she were ready to flee at any moment.
Her voice was soft and carried the charm that only mature women have. “Hello, Miss Wenmir, my name is
Eudora Phoebe.”
The name was quite cute.
It was clear her parents had given her this name with deep affection.
I gently nodded, “Okay, Eudora, could you answer my question now? Have you seen a girl who looks very similar to me but is a few years younger?”
Eudora nodded, and my heart immediately fluttered with excitement, my gaze burning as I looked at her. “Do
you know her name?”
Eudora slowly shook her head. “At that place, girls don’t have names, only code numbers. The person you’re
talking about, her code is 0687.”
My heart suddenly hurt, and I couldn’t find the words to express how I felt.
I struggled to suppress the sourness in my chest and quietly asked Eudora, “Can you tell me what you went
through?”
Eudora nodded. “Five years ago, I was captured and taken there. They tricked me, took me to a remote place,
and then abducted me.”
“When I got there, I realized there were many girls. The basement there seemed as big as a villa. There were
no beds, just cages, and we were locked up like animals. During meals, they forced us to lie on the ground
like dogs.”
Although I had seen a blurry video of this before, hearing Eudora say it with my own ears made me imagine their suffering more vividly.
Had Sylvia grown up in such an environment?
I suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to cry, my heart aching as if pierced by needles, almost leaving me
breathless.
Eudora continued, “Every woman who was brought there had to undergo experiments. We were individually taken to the laboratory and injected with countless drugs and shots. They wanted to observe what would

happen. The drugs were designed to alter our bodies, making us… desperately crave men.”
“Their drugs seemed to destroy the nervous system. They would cause confusion in our memories and make our organs out of control. Some girls couldn’t handle the effects of the drugs and died from organ failure.”
I was stunned. The symptoms Eudora described were eerily similar to what my mother had experienced!
So, my mother and sister really were being persecuted by the same force!
A torrent of hatred surged within me. If I hadn’t forced myself to suppress my anger at this moment, I would have likely lost all control!
By this point, tears were already falling from Eudora’s eyes. “We were forced to obey their orders. Our bodies became extremely sensitive, and those people called us ‘Blossoms‘. When we matured, they’d pick us and
offer us to men.”
“And 0687… six months ago, she became a fully matured ‘Flower‘. After she was taken away, she never
returned.”
