Chapter Twenty–Five

I kiss her softly before I jump to my feet, and Rose does the same, I make sure she has everything before I place my hand on the small of her back, leading us out to my car. I open the passenger’s door for Rose to let her climb in before I close it and run around to the driver’s seat.
“Where do you work?”
“New Vision Publishing. I only started a couple of months ago. I am one of the editors.” She smiles.
“Yes, I know where it is. What made you want to do that?”
I know it all too well because my family owns it. It isn’t public knowledge, though. My family owns six publishing houses–four in the States and two in the UK. I won’t share this information with her because I don’t want her to freak out.
“I have always loved books, words, and languages, I always wanted to write, but I was quick to learn I was terrible at writing books, but I am great at helping people with their books.” Her entire face lights up as she talks about her job.
“Good. Work is so much better if you enjoy what you are doing.” I smile.
“Yes. What do you do? I know you have the club, but do you work elsewhere?”
“I am in the family business. My family owns a lot of properties and companies.”
I don’t want to bore her with the details or scare her off with how wealthy I am. It can either make someone run or use me when they find out. I start the car and start us on our
urney to her work. It will only take ten minutes. Rose will get there just in time. We pull up outside the building in no time.
“I will send those links over to you when I get to the office. When is your lunch break?” I ask as we come to a stop.
“One until two.”
“I take my lunch then, so if you have any questions, you can call or text me.”
Rose nods. “Have a good day, Jayce.”
She goes to reach for the door handle, but I stop her. “Excuse me? Aren’t you forgetting something.
Rose slowly turns to face me, tilting her head to the side. “What?”

Chapter Twenty F
I motion her to me. I want a kiss.”
A blush rises on her cheek. “Oh.”
I chuckle at her naïve reaction and close the space between us, letting our lips connect, She whimpers and fists my suit jacket. I rest my hand on her thigh, massaging it. I soon feel the heat tilse from her skin onto my hand. I smirk into the kiss and pull back.
“You should get inside, pretty eyes.”
“Mmm, yes, see you lat
Sir,” she whispers.
I swat her ass as she climbs out of the car. She bends down, her arm on the top of my car door.
“Are you picking me up tonight, or are you sending someone? If you are sending someone, I’d rather
drive myself.”
“Iavill let you know, angel. I will try to come and get you. If I can’t, I will send my most trusted. driver, the one you met last night.” I smile.
“Okay. Goodbye, Jayce.”
She closes the car door and rushes inside. I wait until she is out of sight before I drive off. I wanted to make dinner for her tonight, but if she doesn’t feel comfortable with a driver picking her up, then. I will need to get her myself.
I make my way to the office. The first thing I need to do is send Rose those links. I know they are trusted because my web designer created the website, and it was done by information from me, my brothers, and other people who work at the club and visit it. We wanted to develop a safe space for everyone. The others are links already out there, which I trust. Rose needs to learn the correct information, not the bullshit some people make up, thinking they know what they are talking about. It can be dangerous for newbies who want to join the community. People take advantage of them.
I was lucky. It was a girlfriend of mine who introduced me to the community and lifestyle. I trusted her, and I will always be grateful to her. I always felt like something was missing in my life until I discovered what I am part of now. She and I never worked out because I soon learned I was more Dominant than submissive, but we are still friends. She comes to the club sometimes, after all she helped us get it up and running. Lyra would be a great person for Rose to talk with if she is still unsure of anything after tonight. She taught me a lot of what I know.
I arrive at the office and park in my space. I stroll inside, greeting everyone as I make my way to the top floor where my office is. I have the entire floor to myself, how I like it.
I make a coffee and get comfortable at my desk. I could text Rose the links, but email would be
better.

These things are monitored, and I’d rather not let anyone else see what we are discussing. It is private. Moments later, a text comes back with her email address, and I use my personal laptop to create the email. I find the necessary links and add them to an email with a subject heading: For Your Eyes Only. I hit send and put my attention firmly back to work. I have a lot to do today, and sexy, sweet distractions called Rose will not make it easy for me to do what needs to be done.
