Chapter 21
Sophia frowned as she peered through the rearview mirror at the black car, but she couldn’t make out who was inside anymore.

Xyliana glanced over too, but most of her focus was on driving and she didn’t spot anyone. Upon hearing Sophia’s muttering, she smirked. “No way, you must have seen it wrong. The Bronson residence isn’t somewhere just anyone can visit.”
Xyliana thought, ‘Rosalie has just returned to the Yoder family, and even if Mom and Dad came to see Mr. Bronson, they wouldn’t have brought her along. Besides, that black car isn’t from our family. So, it must have been a mistake on Sophia’s part.‘
“You’re right, that wild girl has no right to come here; I must have been mistaken,” Sophia dismissed her own guess. In her mind, Rosalie wasn’t even worthy of visiting her house, let alone the Bronson residence.
Back at Bronson residence, Glenn noticed Quinton had returned and asked curiously, “Why are you back? Didn’t I tell you to stay with Xyliana?”
“Xyliana was worried about you being alone and wanted me to stay.” Quinton casually made up an excuse to dodge the question.
Glenn, knowing Quinton all too well, directly countered, “I bet you just didn’t want to stick around and used me as an excuse.
“Xyliana is such a wonderful girl, gentle and understanding. Her family is a perfect match for our Bronson family. This is a great marriage opportunity, and you better not let it slip away, kid.”
With a stern face, Glenn instructed Quinton. This time, he let it slide that Quinton didn’t join Xyliana for dinner, but he absolutely couldn’t allow Quinton to ruin a potential marriage with his chosen granddaughter–in–law.
“Let’s not talk about this anymore. Let Dylan check on your health,” Quinton said, avoiding the topic and shifting the conversation.
Glenn just wasn’t feeling Dylan’s vibe. He shot Dylan down. “Dylan, no treatments today. You can hit the road.”
Glenn had been under the weather for a while, and Dylan was still clueless about what was going on. All Dylan did was hand out a bunch of pills that
weren’t doing much good.
Since the usual meds weren’t cutting it, Glenn asked the butler to track down a top–notch traditional medicine guy to take a look at him. Any minute now, that person should be showing up.
Dylan was just about to get the routine check–up going when Glenn suddenly changed his tune, making him halt in his tracks. He looked at Quinton with a face that said it all–like the treatment wasn’t working because Glenn wasn’t playing along.
Seeing his grandpa’s stubborn side, Quinton took a deep breath and tried to smooth things over. “Grandpa, I get it’s tough not seeing any progress, but Dylan’s the best doc in Janivelle. If you work with him, we’ll get somewhere.”
Glenn retorted, “How am I not working with him? It’s been days, and I’ve got this weird feeling in my mouth, but he can’t figure it out. The meds are a bust. I’m not that old to be fooled easily.”
“You guys can head out, don’t stress about me.” Glenn was dead set against Dylan’s treatment that day. The weird sensation in his mouth, something he couldn’t see or touch, was driving him nuts.
Dylan had been at it for ages with no luck, making Glenn question his so–called medical prowess.
Dylan’s face turned red with embarrassment as he stood there, speechless from Glenn’s harsh words. If there was a hole in the floor, he’d have gladly disappeared into it.
Quinton got where Glenn was coming from; he wanted to fix Glenn’s problem ASAP. But this strange condition had Dylan and a bunch of other top docs stumped–they hadn’t found the cause yet. But quitting treatment could make things worse for Glenn.
So Quinton kept it cool. “Grandpa, even if we’re just keeping things from getting worse, let’s keep going until we find a new plan. Can’t just call it quits.”

Chapter 21
The was already ash the hunt for doctors froin sbred, but so far, no one could handle such a weird iftease.
Glenn glanced at Quinton and said, “Who said I’m quitting? just meant I don’t need you guys anymore. I’ve already called in the best traditional doctor in the country.
In the middle of this tense face off, the butler knocked on the door. “Sir, the doctor you invited is here?
When Glenn heard his guest had arrived, he brightened right up. “Show her in.”
The butter opened the door and in walked a slim figure.
Dylan had expected some white haired wise man to shuffle in, but to his surprise, it was a college–age girl following the butler.
All eyes in the room turned to Rosalie.
She was tall and lean, with a fresh, appealing look. Her hair was pulled back in a simple ponytail, giving off a clean and efficient vibe. Her bright eyes were deep, and for her age, her gaze was hard to read.
But when Quinton saw Rosalie, he couldn’t help but frown. She didn’t look like a doctor at all; more like a green kid. At her age, she probably hadn’t even finished college.
Quinton thought, ‘Even if he doesn’t want treatment, there is no need to hire such a young girl for show. If he wanted to sell it, he should’ve picked someone older. This girl doesn’t fit the bill for a traditional healer.
Unbeknownst to them, while they were checking out Rosalie, she was also giving the room a quick once–over.
She made the judgment in her heart, pondering. ‘The elderly guy on the bed must be the patient from the report. The young man with a CEO vibe standing next to him looks related; probably his grandson.
‘He is good–looking, but his eyes have a cold, distant thing going on, which for some reason, put me off. A shame that such a nice face is overshadowed by his off–putting attitude.
As expected, she then heard some harsh words. “Grandpa, is this the doctor you hired?” Quinton’s face was all sarcasm, practically dripping with disdain.
Glenn was a bit confused. He frowned and asked the butler, “Where’s the doctor?”
The butler replied, “Sir, she came alone, and she says she’s the doctor you hired.”
Hearing the butler’s reply, Glenn had to face the music and took a closer look at Rosalie. He distinctly remembered hiring the famous doctor, Ruby Tyler, but he never expected that she was a girl at such a young age.
