Chapter 23

Quinton swore that if Rosalie tried anything shady, he would make sure she ended up in the stammer for fraud

Rosalie glanced at Quinton, noticed he’d finally stopped his rant, and then proceeded to check on Glenn

Dylan watched Rosalie with curiosity, eager to see what this selfproclaimed apprentice of Ruby could figure out from the situation

After a moment, Rosalie frowned, thinking, How could the old man’s pulse be so strong and rigid, given the fact that he is already seventy?‘

She checked her watch to count the pulse beats. It was over a hundred

Rosalie started to think it through, her mind racing with analysis, Given his age, his pulse shouldn’t be over a hundred beats, nor should it be as strong as a young person’s. But this pulse is the opposite

With such a strong pulse, it seems the pressure in his blood vessels is increasing, and such a rigid pulse indicates the elasticity of the blood vessels is decreasing

Both pulses are tense and strong, with the blood pressure pushing the top number up, signaling a minor prelude to a stroke.‘

Considering this, Rosalie looked at Glenn and asked, Sir, do you sometimes feel like there’s something on your lips?”

Glenn looked at Rosalie with surprise. No one had mentioned his symptoms to her since she arrived and she knew exactly his symptoms

Yes, I’ve been feeling something odd on my lips these past few days,” Glenn said, visibly touched. It’s been really uncomfortable every day. Dylan gave me some medicine, but we still haven’t figured out the issue.”

The conversation made Quinton, who was nearby, frown slightly, thinking, She diagnosed the symptom that’s been bugging Grandpa just by checking his pulse? But it is possible that she has heard about his condition beforehand, which wouldn’t be shocking.‘

Yet Dylan, standing nearby, felt a bit embarrassed as he listened to Rosalie’s diagnosis. When he checked on Glenn, Glenn was the one who had described his symptoms. But Rosalie figured it out without being told

Dylan had seen traditional doctors check pulses before, but they often needed to ask about symptoms and check everything before reaching a conclusion. Usually, patients described their own symptoms, but Rosalie just nailed it

Dylan knew that if what Rosalie said was true, it would mean her medical skills were better than any he had seen among traditional doctors

This thought sent a shiver down Dylan’s spine and he began to deny his thoughts

Rosalie kept on with her questions. Sir, have you been getting headaches now and then lately?”

Glenn was sold on Rosalie’s skills and answered readily, The pain’s not too bad, it’s just this buzzing in my head, like someone’s whispering to me.That was why he was so keen to see another doctor. He seriously thought the meds were making him hear things

Rosalie paused for a moment after hearing this

How’s my pulse?Glenn looked at Rosalie and asked with curiosity

Rosalie didn’t sugarcoat it and laid out her diagnosis straight. Sir, your pulse is strong and tight, which suggests to me it’s a minor stroke that hasn’t happened yet.”

Rosalie’s diagnosis was clear as day, but her words made Glenn and the butler gasp. A stroke was a pretty serious deal

Quinton watched the whole scene coldly from the sidelines. He slightly furrowed his brows as he observed Rosalie, trying to figure out if there was any truth to her words

Dylan was initially a bit worried that Rosalie might actually diagnose something big. But when he heard her diagnosis, he let out a sarcastic laugh

Chapter 23

thinking Rosalie was just talking nonsense

Young lady, as a doctor, you should watch your words. A minor stroke, you say? Do you even know what a minor stroke is? Strokes are almost impossible to predict in advance. No sudden dizziness, no spinning vision, no bleeding, no lesions, it can’t be called a stroke

Just because you checked a pulse, you dare to jump to the conclusion that it’s a stroke? Mr. Glenn Bronson’s treatment has been going well these days, with no signs of a stroke, so stop scaring people here,Dylan sneered

I think you’re just here to scam people, talking nonsense!Dylan accused Rosalie outright. Based on his many years of medical experience and the fact that h had been treating Glenn for days, there was no way Glenn was having a minor stroke like Rosalie claimed

Rosalie retorted coldly, If the old gentleman was really as obviously ill as you suggested, he’d probably already be in the hospital, and you wouldn’t need to be here. I wouldn’t have to come at all.”

Faced with Dylan’s accusation, Rosalie remained unfazed. You couldn’t spot Glenn’s hidden symptoms or even consider looking into it, which shows that your medical skills are lacking

You’re so quick to badmouth me because you’re worried about your job, but you can’t ignore a patient’s life for that. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to bear that responsibility.”

Rosalie, despite being young, spoke with a calmness that was hard to ignore. Glenn fell into deep thought for a moment, and Quinton was also mulling over her words. The room fell silent for a while

Rosalie looked at Glenn and said, Sir, it’s hard for doctors like him to believe that a minor stroke can be detected, but I’m sure that’s your condition. If you don’t believe me, you can just think I’m joking

However, if something sudden happens later, don’t come looking for me, because I won’t help those who don’t trust me.”

Rosalie’s gaze was steady, and her words were firm and convincing. She made Glenn believe her. I trust what you’re saying.Glenn figured that Rosalie had no reason to deceive him, and with such confidence, it seemed she had indeed discovered something

Dylan watched as Glenn was taken in by Rosalie and became even more upset. Glenn hadn’t been cooperating much with his treatment lately, but he trusted this unknown young lady so much

It was hard for Dylan to accept, but he didn’t dare say more. After all, Glenn trusted her, and arguing with Rosalie would seem like ignoring Glenn’s health
