Chapter 7
“Rosalie, just let your mom handle it,” Zachary chimed in.
Rosalie nodded, understanding that they wanted to make it up to her, thinking she hadn’t lived well during all those years.

“Rosalie, your dad and I didn’t know what type of room you’d prefer, so we guessed. Come on, let’s check it out, and if there’s anything you don’t like, we can change it right away,” Roxanne said with a loving look at Rosalie.
“Okay.” Rosalie nodded a bit.
With that, Roxanne and Zachary took Rosalie upstairs. “Rosalie, look, this is your room. Do you like it?” Roxanne asked, holding Rosalie’s hand as they walked in.
The room was decorated with a dreamy cartoon theme that caught Rosalie’s eye. It was filled with dolls, stuffed animals, and figures that young girls adore. For a moment, Rosalie didn’t know what to say.
“Rosalie, all the decorations in this room were carefully arranged by your mom! She says this is the style that kids love the most today,” Zachary said, his eyes full of joy as he talked to Rosalie.
Rosalie listened to Zachary’s words, but didn’t show the happiness they were expecting on her face.
Roxanne seemed to notice something and immediately asked, “Rosalie, is this room too different from your usual style? Is it a bit hard to get used to?”
“It’s no problem. If you’re uncomfortable, I can have it redecorated to suit your taste,” Roxanne offered considerately to Rosalie.
Even though Rosalie didn’t really like the room’s style, she could see that Roxanne and Zachary must have put a lot of effort into it.
“No need, let’s keep it like this for now. I’ll switch it up if I get bored later,” Rosalie said. She had just gotten back and didn’t want Roxanne and Zachary to go through more hassle for her, nor did she want their heartfelt efforts to be in vain.
Rosalie’s words brought relief and joy to Roxanne and Zachary’s faces. “Alright, get settled in, and we’ll head downstairs,” Roxanne said, holding
Rosalie’s hand.
Rosalie paused slightly as she looked at them.
Roxanne and Zachary didn’t say anything more, just smiled and closed the door as they went downstairs.
Rosalie glanced around the room. Looking at those stuffed toys, she furrowed her brows. She didn’t want to bother her parents with redecorating, so it seemed she would have to handle it herself over time.
Fortunately, this room had a fantastic view with a huge balcony that offered a wonderful view. Rosalie sat leisurely on the swing on the balcony, casually picked up her phone, and sent a message to her friend: [Time to withdraw from the Moreno family factory investment.]
A moment later, Rosalie’s phone rang. She picked it up and answered, “Hi.”
“What’s gotten into you today? Had an epiphany? Are you really pulling funds from that crappy Moreno family mess?” Zell Zimmerman asked, bewildered by Rosalie’s decision.
“It’s nothing. Since I’m leaving, there’s no need to bother with the Moreno family matters anymore,” Rosalie replied calmly.
“Are you eaving!?” Zell exclaimed, feeling shocked. “How’s that possible? I did hear rumors recently that the Moreno family found a daughter who had gone missing. Did that old man Curtis kick you out because of this?!” Zell speculated angrily,
Rosalie rolled her eyes; Zell had hit the nail on the head. She hadn’t intended to tell him, but since he guessed correctly, there was no point in hiding it
anymore.
“Listen up, it wasn’t that he kicked me out. I found my own family,” Rosalie snapped back irritably.

Zell’s eyes lit up with interest. “Wow, what a coincidence! The Moreno family’s daughter just came back, and now you found your family too?!”
Zell quickly speculated. “Could it be that the Moreno family, worried you’d take away their attention, just randomly placed you with another family?”
Rosalie frowned, “Don’t talk nonsense. They are indeed my biological parents, and I’ve already confirmed it.”
Zell finally breathed a sigh of relief. “Oh, that’s good. Otherwise, I’d really worry that you’ve jumped from one frying pan into another. How’s your new family? Do they need any help too?”
Zell knew just how much Rosalie had kept the Moreno family afloat all these years. Without her cash, their factory would’ve folded ages ago.
Now that she was keen on pulling her money out, Zell was genuinely worried if Rosalie would end up footing the bill for her new family.
Rosalie got what Zell was fretting about and let out a sigh before saying, “No need to stress. My new place is doing just fine on its own.” Actually, it was more than fine; the joint was dripping with money.
Zell’s curiosity was piqued. “Oh? So sure of yourself! Are your birth parents rolling in dough?”
Rosalie was getting tired of the chat. She said coldly, “Sort out the withdrawal before more drama happens.” Jennifer and her brother were always snooping around the factory, and she didn’t want to keep getting sucked dry by them.
“Alright, now that you’ve found an exit, I can finally breathe easy. All the talking I’ve done wasn’t for nothing. You’ve finally seen the light,” Zell commented with relief, glad his persistence paid off.
“So you’ve been working hard, huh? Should I buy you a meal?” Rosalie deadpanned into the phone.
“It wasn’t too much of a hassle, but I’m up for a meal,” Zell said with a hint of excitement, surprised at the freebie.
“When will you stop being such a foodie? Let’s talk food once the cash is sorted,” Rosalie reminded him.
- 415.
“You’re so cheap. I just landed you a huge order from a billionaire who bought a bunch of your jewelry, clothes, shoes, and bags. I even cleared your old stock! For a deal that big, you could treat me to a hundred dinners,” Zell boasted.
Rosalie was slightly surprised. Those older designs, limited edition or not, were just things she had thrown together before, and Zell managed to sell them too. He was a wizard. “Alright, I’m cool with dinner, but only after you wrap up the job,” Rosalie agreed.
“Got it,” Zell said, finally hanging up the phone feeling satisfied.
After the call, Rosalie gazed at the distant view, lost in thought. She wondered, ‘Is this really my home? After spending so many years with the Moreno family, why does it suddenly feel so surreal, like I am dreaming?”
Rosalie looked around at the luxurious mansion. She thought, ‘My family is loaded. And it seems this family’s wealth isn’t just about being rich. It is mind–blowing!
Rosalie heard a knock on the door and glanced towards it, murmuring to herself, “Who’s knocking?”
