Chapter 212
Two Months Later.
“FUCK! Get them the fuck out of me!” I punctured Darian’s skin with my nails when I lifted my upper body off the bed and screamed at the doctor who sat
between my legs.
She was focused on the first baby’s head crowning. First. And then there were two more. The strikes of pain that shot up my legs turned into a tumble of rocks and nails in my stomach and continued like burning acid streaks up my chest and through my arms. Death would’ve been more kind than this shit.
“I swear on the gods that if you don’t get them out of me within the minute I will rip this fucking place down!”
“Baby, breathe,” Darian’s voice had become the sandpaper drawing blood from my ears and I glared at him through Trixy’s yellow eyes.
He pursed his lips together and squeezed my hand.
Darian tried to command me to stay calm, I begged him to, and after a long refusal on his part he finally agreed but of course, when I needed it the most, it didn’t work. The doctor said it could have to do with the fact that the babies Lycan powers were infused with my own and they couldn’t be commanded into submission even by Darian.
“You’re doing amazing! One more push!” The doctor said.
My screams shook the windows and covered every square inch of the hospital wing.
I dug my claws deeper into Darian’s arm and saliva flew from my mouth when I pushed up and hoped it would be the last.
Sweat dripped down my face, my gown was soaking wet and I heaved between the pushes to regain the strength slipping with each push.
When I couldn’t keep my head up any longer and I sunk into the pillow, the sweetest sound filled the room and tears pushed up to my eyes. The doctor smiled and patted the baby dry before she showed us our first child.
“Congratulations on your babygirl,” babygirl.
The doctor handed her to Darian and something flashed in her eyes before she turned to me with an unspoken worry.
“I’m afraid you don’t have time to rest,” she said to me and hurried back to her chair.
A healer took our daughter from Darian and swaddled her before taking her away. Darian’s eyes shot to the door where the healer was walking out.
“Where are you taking her?” He asked gruffly and followed her out in the hall.
“My King, I’m taking her to rest while you support the Queen, she needs you. The little one will be looked after, I assure you,” He was reluctant to let the healer leave with our daughter but then he disappeared around the corner. Where the fuck did he go? He couldn’t leave me here. Fortunately, the rage only lasted momentarily. When he returned he was carrying a bassinet and placed it by the bed.
“She’s not leaving this room.” He ordered and stepped aside to let the healer do her job and put the baby down. There was a glimmer of reluctance in the healer’s eyes but she bowed her head and Darian came to my side when another shooting pain flared through my body.
“FUCK!” I grabbed his arm which had already healed so I didn’t feel bad about puncturing new holes in him.
Five minutes later, our second baby was born and the room filled with more screams. The pillow under my head was soggy and my hair was wet and sticking to my face.
I couldn’t do this for much longer, my body was exhausted and my eyes were rolling back.
“Not again, please, I can’t,” I cried and slumped onto the bed.
“Uhm, why don’t you rest for a moment, my Queen? I’ll be right back,” but I caught the worry that swam in her eyes even though she tried to showcase a comforting smile. Darian looked between me and the doctor- he pressed a kiss on my knuckles and walked after her.
