Chapter 147
He did hear the conversation between Max and me.
“Blake, it’s no-…” Blake raised his hand and cut me off.
“ri talk to him. I’m not going to fight with you over this. That’s what he wants. To create friction between us so he can sweep in and be the better man.
Was Blake right? Is that what Max was trying to do? He knew I was taking a tisk by being his friend, and he knew it would cause an argument between Blake and me.
“He’s using me to get to you,” I exclaimed.
“That’s what he does, Angel. He manipulates people for his use. As much as he wants to be your mate, he knows he has to destroy our relationship first Blake walked over and grabbed my hand, gently rubbing it.
“He made me believe he wanted to be my friend, and like the idiot I am, I believed him,” I whispered.
“Angel, that’s just who he is. I know he’s nice to you and shows as he cares, but deep down, he only does things to benefit himself. He doesn’t care who gets hurt or how it ruins things. He just needs to come out on top” Blake wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close.
I put my head on his chest and hugged him tightly.
Why did I believe him?!
“I’m sorry, baby,” I croaked, holding back tears.
“Shhh, Angel. It’s okay. You do not have to apologize for that asshöle.” Blake cooed abs rubbed my back.
“You’re mine, Angel. Only mine. My world starts with you and ends with you. Nothing can separate us.”
A wave of nausea hit me. I shivered a little. A chill went down my spine, making me close my eyes and take deep breathes. It was going to pass.
Blake noticed my reaction and tightened his arm around my waist..
“You okay?”
“No,” I replied, holding on to Blake.
I was feeling nauseated now. It wasn’t going away.
My body suddenly became hot, and I was having trouble breathing. My stomach churned, and I felt dizzy.
“Angel, what’s wrong?!” Blake held me at arm’s length, moving my hair out of my face.
“I-… I don’t know..” I stuttered as I felt my knees give way.
Blake grabbed me tightly and, in one swift motion, picked me up and carried me to the bed.
“Angel, talk to me. What’s going on?” He sounded panic as he put me on the edge of the bed to sit.”
I felt my chest tighten more, and before I could reply, the darkness consumed me.
**I’ve sent her blood for testing. Everything looks normal.”
“Then what’s wrong with her?!**

Chapter 147
The voices were loud and close. I was so consumed in the darkness; it was impossible to find a way out. I tried to shake my head on that i could find a way
out.
“Doc, she’s waking up,” Blake’s voice interrupted the chattering.
A warmth engulfed my hand, érupting a series of sparks across my body.
I fought the darkness, and finally, after multiple attempts, I managed to open my eyes, letting the brightness from the surroundings blind me monetary
I blinked a few times before my vision cleared, revealing all the worried faces looking down at me. Blake was in the closet, sitting right next to me, hekling my hand.
I propped up on my elbows and tried to sit up. Blake quickly put his arm behind me and helped me sit up.
“What’s going on?” I asked. My voice was scratchy. I swallowed, trying to hydrate my dry throat.
“You passed out, Angel. How are you feeling?” Blake replied. He looked worried and distorted.
“A little weak, but I’m okay. Can I have something to drink, p
In a flash, Theresa was standing next to me with a glass of water. I gave her a tight smile and took the glass from her hand. I didn’t realize how thirsty f was until the cold liquid touched my tongue. I quickly drowned the fluid and gave the empty glass back to Theresa.
