Chapter 163
No, were ready to go. They are here to help me, and I dont want to keep them waiting. I interrupted before birning and walking out of the end an waiting for a response from either man.
I could hear Rocky curse blake about something as they followed me, but my anger still had subsided enough for me to care. I walked up to the loop and opened the back passenger door.
“Rosy, you got the wrong door again, Rocky snickered, trying to lighten the mood.
“I think I’ll sit in the back, for now, Rockz.” I climbed in and shut the door behind me.
Rocky and Blake exchanged a look and got into the front seats.
“Angel, this isn’t necessary. Please, come back to your seat.” Blake looked over his shoulder, his eyes begging.
“It’s comfortable here. Can we please go?” I insisted, looking out the window.
Blake sighed and started the car.
The drive to our destination was short. It took 10 minutes before Blake turned into a long driveway that led us up a little hill revealing a gorgeous Spanish- style bungalow. It was definitely something you would see in magazines. The architecture of the house had me mesmerized.
Blake parked in front of the house and turned off the engine. There were already three black SUV’s parked in the driveway. Guess the entire Coven was here already.

Both the boys got out, and Blake walked over to open my door. He seemed tenser than before, and I didn’t know if there was more to come than just a lunatic ex–girlfriend.
He put his hand out for me to take, but I brushed past him and walked over to Rocky.
“Tell me you knew nothing about all this?” I whispered, knowing Blake could still hear us.
“He may have mentioned something after I brought up Mia’s hot sister in the car. But, in my defense, the news is still new to me, and I’m on your side.” Rocky flashed me a big smile and patted my head.
I rolled my eyes and varied on gawking at the house.
The door suddenly opened, and a rigid Klaus stood at the doorway. He looked like he had aged a lot more since we last saw him.
*King Cooper, Luna Rosalie, I’m so glad you’re here. Thank you for coming at such short notice.” Klaus bowed and moved aside, motioning for us to go in.
My eyes adjusted to the lighting inside the house, and I was gobsmacked at how gorgeous it was inside. The high raised ceilings with gold painted skirtings paired with arched bay windows. Everything about the deco screamed expensive.
Klaus escorted us to what felt like the back of the house, where we entered another door that led into a massive living area.
I was so engrossed with the deco; I didn’t notice everyone sitting on the couch staring at us.
Immediately, all The Coven members stood up and bowed their hands. The only person still sitting was the older lady next to Mia, who had a surprised look. The lady looked like she was in her 70’s. Her curly white short hair was perfectly combed back. Her eyes widened as she watched me walk in.
*King Cooper, please have a seat” Klaus smiled and motioned towards the couch.
“She can stand.” the older lady’s raspy voice objected. Her eyes traveled up and down my body like she was sizing me up.
“Nana, she’s the….” Mia started to explain, but the lady put her hand up and stopped her.
I know who she is. I’ve known her since the day her mama placed her in my arms and begged me to make her wolf go away. If it weren’t for her daddy’s name, I wouldn’t have done it.”

M.. my daddy’s name? Do you mean Richard? Did you know both of them? How? I was so confused. My mother knew I was a werewolf and tried to hide he Why?!
I said her daddy’s name, not your daddy’s name. Your daddy was a coward. He was pathetic, Knocking up a 16–year–old girl. Poor Theresa, that sweet woul didn’t deserve a ratchet mate like him,” The old lady grumbled.
I looked up at Rocky. You could see the anger flash across his face at the mention of Richard’s betrayal.
“Evelyn, stop beating around the bush and come to the point. The girl is here; now tell us what we need to know to lift her suppressant. Her clock is ticking,” Klaus nagged.
Evelyn slowly got up from her seat and supported her body with her crane. Her eyes never left my face.
Tell me, girl, how is your mother?‘ Evelyn asked, narrowing her eyes at me.
I felt my heart pinch a little.
“Evelyn… Blake growled, but I put my hand up, stopping him.
‘She’s dead. They both are. We laid them to rest almost two weeks ago.” I clenched my jaws, trying to hold back my tears.
‘Dead?! How?” Evelyn demanded, her face softened.
“They said it was a car accident. Richard’s car collided with a truck. Richard died on the spot,” Blake explained.
“Rocky is Richard and Theresa’s son, Klaus pointed out, nodding towards Rocky.
“That was no accident. I’m telling you now. Them dying was no accident. If Bethany is dead, it’s because someone wanted her dead.” Evelyn spoke as she- limped her way over to me.
What makes you think that?” Elijah questioned. He stood at the far end of the couch.
“Because she carried the bloodline. The same bloodline that runs through this Luna’s veins.” Evelyn reached out and cupped my face.
“Just as beautiful as your Mumma. She went to great lengths to protect you even though she claimed you were the biggest mistake she made. We’ve been watching you from a distance your whole life. Once Beth met Blake, she knew you were in safe hands and asked us to back off. Although, it’s my mistake that has put your life at risk.”
“W… what? Have you been watching me? Why?!” I stuttered, shivering a little.
What the hell was going on?!
Blake wrapped his arm around my shoulder and squeezed me a little. I felt my anger towards him diminish slightly. I didn’t want to admit it, but I needed Blake’s touch. He kept me calm, and as Evelyn’s words registered in my head, I sure as hell wasn’t calm.
Grandma, you’re scaring her. Stop with your riddles and tell Klaus what he needs to know to save Luna Rosy’s life,” Mia scolded.
Evelyn dropped her hand from my face and turned towards her Granddaughter.
“My magic may save her now, but she was born with death written in her future.”
A chill went down my spine. First, Richard spoke about how my existence would be my death, then Morris spoke about it. Now, Evelyn was saying it too.
What was so malignant about my existence that had people linking me to death so often?
I was beginning to question everything about my life.
It felt as though my mother had made me into a giant security safe filled with all sorts of secrets, just waiting for the right person to unlock it so I could see for myself what was inside it.
