Chapter 208
The golden moon was peaking over the horizon by the time we returned to the apartment. Rocky and Taylor had squeezed into the back seat with Max since they, too, didn’t have a ride back. The entire drive was filled with the men brainstorming about what needed to happen next to ensure any contingency plans Amon may have had.
Thanks to the radical changes I had been through today, I was too exhausted and achy to care about what they were talking about. My eyes were drooping, and sometime after dropping Max off at the Cooper Mansion, I fell asleep in the car, only to be woken up by the bright lights that illuminated the underground carpark.
1 groggily got out of the car with Blake’s help before he scooped me into his arms and carried me up to our apartment. I shut my eyes and clung to him for dear life, my body too tired to move.
“Taylor, could you please run upstairs and fill up the tub with hot water? It will help soothe Rosy’s sore limbs.” Blake instructed as Rocky opened the apartment to let us in..
I felt Blake’s arms tighten around me as we made our way up the stairs. My ears were suddenly filled with the sound of running water before Blake’s warmth disappeared and was replaced by a soft material gently rubbing against my bare skin. I opened my eyes to find I was lying on the bed with the sheets now covering me instead of the blanket.
Taylor came out of the bathroom, still looking just as worried as she was before.
“Rocky and I are going to go clean up too. Let us know when you are settled; I’ll organize some dinner.” Taylor mumbled, her glassy eyes kept drifting toward me.
“Thank you, Taylor.” Blake sighed and sat on the bed next to me.
I opened my mouth to thank her, but my parched throat left me whizzing dry air. My chest suddenly tightened as a sharp pain shot through my stomach. I groaned, curling up into a ball to suppress the pain.
“Angel, what’s wrong?” Blake moved over to rub my back.
“There’s a full moon tonight,” Rocky’s voice echoed through the room.
“Tonight?!” Blake growled, looking over his shoulder.
Rocky nodded stiffly as he hovered at the doorway. He looked like he was ready to bolt at any second.
“Fuck” Blake hissed under his breath.
I groaned again as another round of pain coursed through me. My body was starting to burn up, and every single part of me ached. What the hell was going on?! The transformation pain was way more intense than what I was currently going through, but why was I in so much pain? Was it normal to feel like this?
“Come on, Angel. Let’s clean you up, and we can deal with the rest afterward.” Blake uttered, reaching
down to scope me into his arms.
The movement sent another round of pain through my body, making me whimper and groan. I closed my eyes and clung to Blake.

“I’m sorry, Angel. This will all be over soon, I promise.” Blake whispered, kissing the top of my head as he walked into the bathroom.
My nose twitched at the smell of lavender and tea tree oil as Blake placed me on the bathtub’s edge and unwrapped the sheet around me.
“N-… No…” I groaned, trying to protest as Blake slowly lowered me into the tub.
As my body submerged in the hot water, I groaned, cringing as the hot water burnt my over–sensitive skin. This wasn’t relaxing; it was torture. Before I could protest, the water level rose around me, and Blake was suddenly sitting in the tub behind me. He shifted me slightly, so I was nestled between his legs with my back pressed against his chest.
The heat radiating off him and the blazing water made me feel suffocated. My aching muscles were making me so uncomfortable as well. I closed my eyes and prayed for the soreness to go away.
Blake reached over and grabbed a soap, lathering it all over my arms and chest. Because of the discomfort I was in, I wanted to protest. But once Blake’s hands touched my skin, a different kind of ache took over. As I watched Blake gently wash off the bubbles and mucus, I was covered in; the new ache intensified deep inside me. Butterflies fluttered in the pit of my stomach as my hormones pumped desire through my veins.
