Chapter 97
“Rosalie, you were never meant to find out. Your mother and I decided that it was too risky for me to tell anyone that I had a daughter outside of my mating. I couldn’t put you in that sort of danger. So I left. I checked up on you when I could but people were starting to notice and I couldn’t visit anymore You need to understand that you were conceived outside of my bonding. It was a moment of weakness and I have punished myself every day for it
“I can’t change what happened and what I did but I can promise to be a better person now. A better father to you and my son. I’m not happy abou; how you’ve found out about this, but I am happy that you now know about my kind. However, I do hope you reconsider your relationship with this boy. It’s a very dangerous world and I don’t want you being part of it”
“Firstly, what I do in my life is none of your concern. I will do what I want and who I want. You are in no position to tell me what to do. Secondly, son?! have a brother?”
“Yes Rosalie, you have a half brother. My bonded mate and I have a son together. After I found out Beth was pregnant with you, I told Theresa. She too was pregnant at the time. We tried to make our bonding work but I couldn’t deal with her loyalty. I couldn’t understand why she wasn’t angry with me. She

Theresa? Theresa Waltz. I suddenly remembered where I had seen Richard. My brain was working on overdrive as the faded old picture flashed before my eyes. The memory got clearer and I could see the wooden 6×4 photo frame that was hanging against the pale green wall. The pale green wall was part of a living room that I had been in multiple times. The living room that held several great memories that were spent with a family that I never knew was partially mine.
I was hyperventilating. I felt nauseous and dizzy. The realisation was daunting. I knew who he was talking about. I knew his mate, I knew his son. Did they know who I was? I was aware that Blake was holding me and supporting my weight because I didn’t trust my legs to keep me upright anymore.
“Rosy!” I heard my name echo from the hospital corridor. It was Taylor’s voice.
“Rosy, which room are you in?” The voice came again.
Shit! I forgot I had called Taylor to tell her mum was in the hospital. She was already here in Greenwoods and said she would stop by to see us.
“Over here Taylor” Blake called out. I had lost my brain to mouth connection.
2 seconds later, Taylor was standing at the doorway. She walked in and right behind her was Rocky. I gasped and grabbed Blake’s arm tightly. Fuck what the hell was he doing here?!

They both fully entered the room and looked around. My eyes were glued to Rocky’s face. I watched as his gaze landed on Richard. He did a double–take and froze mid–step. I watched as Rocky’s eyes widened and jaws dropped. My grip on Blake’s arm tightened. He looked down at me before following my gaze and looking at Rocky.
Richard looked uncomfortable as Rocky’s eyes bore into him. He rubbed the back of his neck and shifted his weight between his feet. Taylor walked past me towards my mum.
“Oh my god Beth, are you okay? You look like hell” she exclaimed, clearly not sensing the tension in the room.
She turned to say something to me before realising that Rocky was standing there glaring at a stranger.
“Rockz, I think you’re making the man uncomfortable. It’s rude to stare like that” Taylor said. Her words didn’t even dent Rocky’s trance.
Richard huffed “Is there a problem young man? You look at me like I should be 6 feet under the ground” he chuckled at the last bit.
Rocky’s lips moved but no words came out. My heart was racing and my breathing was laboured. Tears were building up at the corner of my eyes and I didn’t know how much longer I could keep it together. I couldn’t imagine what was going through Rocky right now. He too, just like me, had questions that would get answered today.
Taylor walked over and shook Rocky a little/
“Babe, what’s going on with you,” she asked him, baffled by his reaction.
“Tay-… be-… his-… his my father” Rocky finally spoke, still staring at Richard. Tears sliding down his cheeks.

Chapter 97
I heard a gasp come out of Taylor and Blake’s mouth. Mum however just snorted.
I closed my eyes and the tears spilled out. I felt a sting of pain in my chest and the images flashed before my eyes again. The living room with the pa green wall where the faded photo of Richard hung. The living room was part of Rocky’s house. The living room I had to spend time in with people i didn‘ know were actually connected to me.
I always considered him my brother, little did I know, he actually was my brother…
