Chapter 105
“Mom, 1… Linda barely got a word out before Madam Hart smacked her hard across the face. “Linda, you’ve really got some nerve, dragging people ta the Hart residence to stir up trouble. You must have a death wish!
“And the rest of you. Who do you think you are, trying to pull this scam in front of me? Are you all looking to get yourselves killed?”
Ebert was stunned by how fierce this old lady was. With so many people against her, not a single one could even get close. She was unstoppable.
Meanwhile, Jocelyn, wearing a face
ask, sat in the café, waiting.
Soon, a woman wearing sunglasses and a hat walked in.
She yanked off her hat and snapped impatiently, “You’d better keep your word this time and give me what I asked for. Otherwise… Jocelyn, you know exactly what’ll happen if you try to play games s with me.”
Jocelyn smiled, pulled a file from her bag,
I slid it across the table. “Miss Winslow, these are my documents. Take a look for yourself.”
Sheryl Winslow flipped through the pages, nodded in satisfaction, then pulled out a card and tossed it onto the table. “Three million. This is worth it. Jocelyn, are you absolutely sure the Hart Corporation has no idea about these secrets?”
Jocelyn flashed a knowing grin as she picked up the card. “Miss Winslow, relax. This is top secret, straight from when I was running that project. No one at the Hart Corporation will ever know.
“This could decide the fate of the whole company. Just three million for something this big? Don’t you think that’s a little cheap?”
“What else do you want?” Sheryl asked.
Jocelyn’s smile grew even more self–satisfied, her face twisting with greed. “Miss Winslow, after the Hart Corporation goes bankrupt, I want a share of what’s left. I’m sure you know exactly what I mean,” she said, her eyes glinting.
Sheryl hesitated for a moment before replying, “Fine. Once the Hart Corporation collapses, all the Hart family’s cars and houses are yours.”
‘Sienna, aren’t you always so arrogant? Well, the Hart Corporation is, about to go under.
‘Now that your company’s core secrets have been leaked. There’s no way you can make a comeback. I can’t wait to see how you’ll get yourself out of this mess this time!
‘When that day comes, I’ll throw you all out. I’ll keep you under my heel for the rest of your miserable life and make sure you never rise again,‘ Sheryl sneered inwardly, her heart brimming with vicious satisfaction.
Feeling on top of the world, Sheryl headed to the mall to shop, with a few friends tagging along.
After buying a mountain of stuff, they went to a restaurant for dinner. Her friends noticed she was in an unusually good mood and asked what had happened.
Sheryl smiled and said, “Oh, nothing much. I’m just planning to acquire a company soon.”
“A company? Which one?” they asked, curious.
Sheryl flashed a nonchalant smile and said, “The Hart Corporation’s been doing pretty well lately, hasn’t it? I figured I’d just take it over for fun.”
“Oh my god! Sheryl, you really are the Winslow family’s heiress. That’s impressive. Ever since the Hart Corporation changed ownership, i vth has been nothing to sneeze at.
“But to you, it’s just a plaything. No wonder the Winslow family is ranked third among
top five businesses in Vallaris. We’re honestly so jealous.”

“He even went out of his way to try and work with them, but they actually turned him down. Seriously, they don’t know what’s good for them. What’s so great about them anyway?” one of her friends scoffed.
Sheryl let out a cold snort, her tone dripping with arrogance. “They just got lucky, that’s all. It’s nothing worth mentioning. I’ve got something in my hands that could make their company collapse overnight.”
While Sheryl was still busy showing off, a girl sitting behind her tugged her restaurant.
