Chapter 113
Vivian’s hands stilled when Sienna’s breathing finally deepened into sleep. Carefully–so carefully—she rolled her sister onto her side, smoothing the stray hairs from her forehead with a touch light enough not to wake her.
Being this close, Vivian was once again blown away by how gorgeous Sienna was. People always said Sienna looked the most like their mother, but honestly, Vivian thought Sienna was way more beautiful.
She pulled the blanket over Sienna, then climbed into bed herself, hugging Sienna from behind.
Sienna’s usual smell wrapped around Vivian like a hug.
‘Your turn to lean on me soon, Sis. I’ll keep getting stronger and more awesome, so I can help carry your burdens too, Vivian promised.
Hard work wasn’t optional anymore–she’d grind until she became someone Sienna could rely on.
Anya’s words still echoed in Vivian’s mind. “You need more courage–more confidence.” That’s why she’d arranged this trial by fire–next month, Vivian would be flying solo to negotiate on behalf of the overseas branch. One week. That’s all she had to prepare.
At first, Vivian hesitated–the thought of leaving Sienna’s side made her uneasy.
But now, she realized if she wanted to truly stand beside her sister, she needed to grow stronger. It was time to stop being protected and start being Sienna’s pillar of support.
Sienna had dozed off for a bit during the massage, but she was already awake by the time Vivian got into bed.
Thinking about how Amber had rushed upstairs right after dinner, Sienna couldn’t help but worry. She got up, about to head out.
Vivian’s eyes flared with jealousy and anxiety.
She blurted out, “Sis! Are you going to check on Amber?”
Vivian knew that Sienna would definitely favor Amber–after all, she was the baby of the family.
Back when Jocelyn was still around, Amber never had a chance to steal all of Sienna’s special treatment.
But now, everything had changed. Amber had chosen Sienna, and she sure knew how to use her “youngest” status to her advantage.
Sienna didn’t bother to lie. She turned and said, “Yeah, I’m going to check on her.”
Vivian’s heart gave a little jolt. ‘Figures–Amber is already taking up all of Sienna’s attention,’ she thought, feeling a bit bitter.
Before, Sienna used to sleep with her every night, but now she had Amber to spend the nights with too.
‘Maybe I should just stuff Amber in a sack and drop her off at the school dorms. It is all for her own good–to make sure she studies harder. Vivian thought, jealously.
“Sis, my head hurts a little. Can you rub it for me?” Vivian asked, her voice soft.
Her eyes darkened slightly. ‘Sorry, Sis, I don’t want to lie to you, but I can’t help,‘ she thought.
Sienna’s face showed a hint of concern as she walked over. “What’s wrong? Where does it hurt? Let me see.”
“Sis, will you rub it gently? No need to put too much pressure,” Vivian said.
Sienna sighed, a bit helpless. “Alright.”
“Sis, will you sleep next to me tonight?” Vivian asked, her voice soft and a little whiny.

Chapter 113
Sienna just couldn’t bring herself to say no as she met Vivian’s big, watery eyes.
As soon as Sienna lay down, Vivian instantly clung to her arm and snuggled right into her embrace.
A flash of possessive pride flickered in her eyes.
‘She’s my sister.‘ The thought sent a thrill through her–that smug, unshakable certainty that no one else had a claim on Sienna like she did.
An hour later, Sienna opened her eyes. She gently moved Vivian’s arm from around her stomach, tucked her in, then opened the door and walked toward Amber’s room.
Amber was hunched over her desk, totally absorbed in her studies. The study notes Ms. Ward had givent her zeroed in on exactly the topics she’d been struggling with, and everything was neatly organized by subject.
Thinking about how Sienna always praised good grades, Amber downed a glass of ice water and dove right back into her books, determined to keep going.
A knock sounded at the door. Thinking it was Elisa, Amber said, “Elisa, I’m not hungry. I don’t want any snacks.”
“It’s me,” came Sienna’s voice.
Amber’s breath hitched, her eyes going wide in panic. Her pulse spiked as she scrambled upright. ‘Why is Sienna here? Vivian’s supposed to be giving her a massage right now!‘
In a frantic rush, she started shoving her notes and textbooks off the desk, stuffing her backpack under the covers as quickly as she could.
She ran her fingers through her hair, took a deep breath, straightened her back, and walked to the door.
When she opened it, there was Sienna in a black silk robe, looking all elegant and mature. Amber pouted–she was already short, and now, standing in front of Sienna’s, uh, very generous chest, she felt even tinier. She quickly looked away, cheeks burning.
But she just couldn’t help herself–she glanced down at her own chest for a comparison, and instantly deflated. ‘Ugh, I’m totally flat!‘ she thought, feeling a little crushed.
She’d never really paid attention before, but now she couldn’t stop fixing her eyes on Sienna’s full chest.
Sienna noticed Amber sneaking glances at her chest, then at her own. It was written all over Amber’s face what she was thinking.
Sienna sighed, shaking her head with a mixture of amusement and resignation. “That’s enough searching for now–you’re still too young for this.”
Amber’s cheeks turned bright red. She gave a little huff, trying to
“I’m turning eighteen soon,” she muttered under her breath.
act all proud and unfazed.
Her lips pursed in a silent, childish pout–the disparity between them was no fault of hers, yet undeniable all the same.
