Chapter 30
Sienna’s voice lashed like a whip, “Don’t worry. Behind bars, you’ll be doing your civic duty every month.” The trio immediately got the message, She was sentencing them to monthly blood draws.
Sienna’s gaze then slid to Mason, disgust twisting her lips. Without hesitation, she kicked him square in the stomach.
Mason crumpled, gasping like a fish out of water. The sharp heel, driven by full force, left him drenched in sweat. He couldn’t tell whether it was pain or
terror that had him like this.
“Don’t think you’re off the hook. Your reckoning is just beginning.” With a cold glance, Sienna spun on her heel and marched off with Vivian in tow. Lana handled the rest with one phone call. In no time, the cops rolled up and hauled all four away in cuffs.
Boiling with rage, Mason seethed internally, ‘Sienna, I’m the heir of Quinn family. Your family are just bugs to be crushed under our boots. Dare to mess with me? I’ll make sure your entire family regret this.‘
“Sienna, am I just a useless burden? Always making trouble for you?” Vivian hung her head, guilt weighing heavy on her.
Sienna ruffled Vivian’s hair, her voice softening. “Vivian, I’m your big sister. I’ll always have your back.”
Vivian bit her lip. Deep down, she was worried Sienna would get tired of her. After a long pause, she finally mumbled, “Sienna, Mason’s sister is the CEO of Junior Quinn Group. Aren’t we just asking for trouble?”
Sienna smirked, “The Quinns are nothing. If you mess up, I’ll fix it.” A breeze swept Vivian’s hair across her face. Sienna gently tucked it behind her ear. Vivian just stared, her heart going wild.
As the cops hauled him away, Mason shot Lana a murderous look, “The Hart family will live to regret this. Mark my words.”
Lana leaned in with a ghost of a smile playing on her lips, “Good luck, Mr. Quinn.” Her fingers lightly brushed his shoulder as the cops shoved him forward. The unspoken truth hung in the air–the Quinns were digging their own grave.
“What do you mean?” Mason gritted his teeth, glaring at the woman, before him. To his mind, Sienna couldn’t possibly have any real pull–this was all smoke and mirrors. But Lana just brushed him off and walked away, her eyes laughing without mercy.
In the car, Vivian fiddled with her fingers while Sienna handled business on the cáll. The moment Sienna hung up, Vivian peeked up and said, “I got us a blueberry cake, but Mason ruined everything.”
Sienna chuckled, “I’ve asked Elisa to make us something. Let’s go home.” Vivian’s face immediately lit up like a Christmas tree.
When the Quinns heard Vivian had called the cops and got Mason locked up, they went crazy and tore into Aiden over the phone. At first, Aiden was clueless and had to sit through their yelling. When he finally figured it out, he promised to drag his wild daughter to the station to fix things, and even said he would go to their house in person to apologize. Only then did the Quinns back off.
After hanging up the phone, Aiden swore under his breath, ‘That damn troublemaker! She’s barely back and already stirring the pot. Does she even know who she’s messing with?‘
Linda handed him the tea with a heavy sigh. “Vivian has gone too far this time. So has Sienna. How can she just let Vivian torch the whole deal? Couples fight. That’s fine. But calling the cops? That’s airing our dirty laundry. The Quinns are on the up–and–up. This marriage was our golden goose!”
Aiden saw red. “Those two brats are getting too bold. Just wait till they get back. I’ll knock some sense into them!”

Chapter 30
“Oh? How exactly do you plan to do that, Father?” A cold voice cut through the room. Sienna strode in, dressed in black, with a meek–looking Vivian trailing behind. Aiden’s rage choked off as he met her icy stare.
Linda cut in, snapping. “Are you both crazy? Couples fight, fine. But cops? Sienna, you know this marriage is our cash cow! If the Quinns bail, we’re all screwed!”
Sienna didn’t even took at her, keeping her eyes locked on Aiden. “Mason snatched Vivian to play blood bank for his precious ‘angel‘. So tell me, Dad, should we have sat down for tea with that psycho?” The room fell dead quiet. Everybody knew the score. Chloe was Mason’s one true love, and he would go through hell and high water for her.
Aiden gritted his teeth, “You could’ve settled this quietly. Did you have to make a federal case out of it?”
Sienna draped herself over the couch like a lazy panther, smirking, “Oh, I absolutely had to. Heads up. I’m about to kick over the hornets‘ nest. First targets? The Quinns. The engagement’s over, and I’m making it official tomorrow.”
Linda blew her top, “Hell no! This marriage is a golden ticket for our family. Walk away now, and kiss those contracts goodbye!”
Sienna’s gaze turned icy. “Correction. First, it’s my family, not yours. Second, the company is none of your business. I’m taking back Hart Corporation.” Hart Corporation was her mother’s legacy. She would rather die than give it up.
Aiden shot up, roaring, “Like hell you will!”
Sienna laughed, her eyes full of scorn. “Try and stop me. I don’t wanna spell it out. But you get the picture.” With that, she left with Vivian for dinner, leaving the others stewing in their rage.
Linda’s face twisted in anger as she grabbed Aiden’s arm. “Do something! You just gonna let that little snake steal your seat? Wake up! You’re the big boss at Hart Corporation!” Her people were all set up in the company. She knew perfectly well if Sienna took over, they would be out on their ears.
Aiden roughly shoved her hands away, his shoulders slumping like a deflated balloon. The bitter truth settled in his gut. The company had always been Sienna’s, down to the last brick. He was just keeping the seat warm. Even if he fought her all the way to the Supreme Court, the papers didn’t lie. He owned a measly 1%. And he knew Sienna wouldn’t hesitate if she had to. She could’ve made him a laughingstock in front of the whole world, but she spared him. Blood still meant something, even to her.
Linda’s nails bit into her palms as she glared at Aiden’s handsome–but–spineless face. He was like a luxury car with no engine. Her throat burned with curses stuck behind clenched teeth. Meanwhile, Sienna and Vivian were digging into their food like nothing was wrong, passing dishes like it was Sunday brunch. The louder their chatter grew, the hotter Linda’s ears burned.
