Heading to work it doesn’t take me long before I’m outside the entrance and head over to the elevator. I’m usually one of the first ones here and like my time to start the day before everyone else comes in for work.
When I arrive at my floor I walk straight to my office and start my computer up when I get inside.
I have some time to catch up on work when my door is opened up.
“I heard you were sick! Feeling better?” Elijah comes inside my office and I lift my head to look at him. He stands there with his beautiful smile and it’s contagious. I smile back at him.
“Yes, I do!” I answer him and place some papers down I held in my hand. I’m lucky Jessie called and tell them I was sick when I didn’t come back.
“Do you need any help with catching up on work!” He says and I’m grateful for his kindness. I know he wouldn’t hesitate to help me if I ever needed it.
“Thank you but I will manage!” I answer him and I see he wants to ask me something more. I wait for him to tell me.
“I wanted to ask you if you would be my company at the banquet tonight,” he says and I hear he is nervous, I smile at him.
“Of course,” I say and see him breathe out.
“But I totally forgot about it,” I said, a little embarrassed. “I haven’t prepared anything–let alone a dress.”
I pointed to my casual T–shirt and shrugged at him.
“Leave it to me! See you after work!” His eyes lit up, and his tone turned cheerful. Then he turned and walked out of the office, closing the door behind him.
The whole day went by in a blur and I hardly get any time to take a break and eat. Sitting in front of my computer while I eat a salad and try to have the last done for the day.
After making sure all my work was done, getting up on my feet I quickly turn off the computer and pick up my bag before I start walking over to my door.
Open it up I take a step and hit a wall which is Elijah, dropping my bag on the floor and almost falling to the ground. When his arms come and catch me. His face and lips are only inches away and I look him deep into his gray eyes.
He slowly rises me up and keeps eye contact with me.
Clearing my throat and averting my eyes he let me go.
“Sorry I was in a hurry!” I tell him
“It’s fine! I just came here to give you this!” He says and picks up a bag from the floor.

Holding it in front of me he gives me his biggest smile and I slowly take the bag from him.
Opening it up I see a bright blue dress in it and it looks gorgeous.

“I saw it in the store and thought it would be perfect with your beautiful blue eyes. Before I could say anything, he looked at me and explained.
“Thank you,” I said softly, meeting his eyes with sincerity.
Then I turned and walked into the office to change into the dress.
Elijah has a really good taste. The dress is a long evening gown and it shows off my curves just in the right places. I have quite large breasts and an hourglass figure. This dress shows off just enough without being too much.
I put on a scarf over my shoulders, tidied my hair, and opened the door again. Elijah was already waiting at the doorway, dressed in his black suit. He looks so gorgeous I can’t take my eyes off him.
“You look amazing,” he says and offers his arm to me.
“You too Elijah ” I answer and take his arm. Feeling his body heat close to mine makes my check heats up.
We went downstairs and walked toward Elijah’s car, heading to the event together.
When we walk into the room everything is beautifully decorated.
Our colleagues stand in the crowd and we walk over to them.
After dinner, the band starts to play and people get on the dancefloor.
I have been successfully avoiding being in any photo my bosses wanted me to be in. I start to relax a bit and the evening is nice, I have always avoided being photographed. Don’t want to leave any trace after me.
“Can I have this dance?” Elijah comes over and asks me. I try to avoid the dance, don’t want our bodies to be that close.
“I won’t take no for an answer,” he says and drags me out onto the dance floor. And I can’t get myself out of this one.

I am not a good dancer,” I tell him, hoping he would let me pass.
‘You don’t have to be, just follow me and I will take the lead” his voice comes to my car and a shiver runs down my body.
He takes me in his arms and we start to sway to the music. I had no idea he was such a good dancer and I start to relax in his arms. Letting him take the lead and just enjoy this moment.
When the dance is done he doesn’t let go and the next dance he pulls my body closer to his. I rest my head on his shoulder and let myself just be here at this moment. I feel his hand on my back pulling me tighter to him and I’m getting weak in my knees. I haven’t been this close to another man before and it stirs up feelings in my body I never felt before.
The evening comes to an end and Elijah walks with me outside, we talk about everything and nothing. That has always been a good thing with him, our conversations always flow.

I follow him to his car at the furthest end of the parking lot and we talk for a moment more.

“Well, it’s time for me to go home! Thank you for everything tonight, and the dress. See you on Monday!” I say and turn around to walk away when I feel him grab my arm and swirl me around.
His hands come to my head and before I even register what’s happening his plump lips are on mine in a heated kiss. My mind goes blank and I follow his motions.
Get completely lost in my first kiss ever. He pushes his tongue inside my mouth and tastes every inch of me while his other hand comes down to my waist and pulls me flat against him.
I don’t know where I am anymore when a car honks and jolts me out of my trance. Breaking the kiss I turn around and see it’s Emma and Jessie in the car. I quickly leave Elijah and walk over to the car and get inside.
“Well that’s one heck of a way to let your mate know you are very much alive and cheating on the mate bond,” Emma says and I feel how all blood leaves my head.
